  1. The names being mentioned as possible candidates: Democrats: Hollie Levine Daniel D Reynolds Peter Charnetsky Debra Gelson Republicans: James Sacco Brett Noonan Sophia Bergman Veronica Gorman
  2. I've used www.taxact.com for several years without any problems. There is a free Federal version, but you can buy the Federal/State package, including a free Federal e-file, for about $20. I had used Turbo Tax in the past, but find this much easier to navigate and very informative with its Help files.

Hi Dingbat, I don't want to get into the religious debate, but wanted to let you know that Religulous DID play here a little while ago. It was at the Art Mission Theater, off Lewis St in downtown Binghamton. Currently, "Milk" and "The Reader" are showing. They often have interesting films that the "regular" theaters aren't playing. Here is the link to check it out: http://www.artmission.org/Theater.html

I may be way off base here, but I seem to remember that Big Ange was involved in an accident while drag racing another car and someone was killed. I think it happened on the Memorial bridge before the entrance to the Vestal Parkway. I saw him once after that ~ sometime in the 80s ~ as a DJ at an oldies club outside of Boston. @

    Satchees Teehouse

As far as I know, it's always been the Tavern House (or "T-house") since the late 60s. Used to sneak away from Catholic Central for "lunch" on occasion. The name "Little Jewel" does sound familiar, though, I will have to check that out with my 1st Ward buddies.

Back in the day, I believe it was called the Tavern House, and is now owned by Bob "Sach" Alapeck. I have to agree with some of the others ~ good food, great prices ~ Jim Buchta does a nice job!

Where to go to get Laptop Fixed?

Thank you for your replies and suggestions, I appreciate it. This is my son's laptop (he came for advice and got on my sign-on). The laptop is only a month or so old and was purchased at an Office Depot near his school. Of course, the receipts are in his dorm room and he can't get to them until late January, too late to return the thing. This problem just occurred, so I'm not quite sure what we're going to do yet, but I'll figure something out. Will try your suggestions. Thanks and we hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
  8. ?....my laptop turns on but the LCD screen is black, going to have to get it fixed.. any suggestions on WHERE and NOT WHERE to go? Cheapest hourly rates?
