My kid's school was planning a field trip there a few weeks ago, but ended up cancelling because Highland Park didn't have enough lifeguards.

The Lastest, Most "Alarming" Covid Variant Yet — the New York Iota Variant is Partially Vax Resistant
BC is History replied to YankeeDoodle's topic in Local Topics
Iota variant. How fitting. Because I don't give one iota about Covid-19 anymore. -
BREAKING: City Council President Sophia Resciniti granted ORDER OF PROTECTION against Tarik Abdelazim

They don't call him, "Tarik the freak" for nothing. -
WNBF cuts Bob Joseph show by an hour, and moves to 8am
BC is History replied to suefromupstate's topic in Local Topics
What a mistake! They should have kept Doug Mosher and got rid of the Bob! -
Looks like there is no more Lincoln dealership in the area. Feduke has taken the sign down, and if you look up Lincoln dealers on the official site, the closest one is Ithaca. BC is History

65 dollars isn't exorbitant for a carload. If you're taking a car you're taking at least four people, and you know there's going to be plenty of people packing their Suburbans and minivans with 10+. I went to an airshow in Rochester a few years ago, and from what I remember. prices were around 15-20 dollars per person. On the other hand, what they did to the Dick's Open is an outright travesty.

Don Giovanni returns to WNBF
BC is History replied to 27 Time World Champions's topic in Local Topics
I agree. And now with Rush gone there's really no reason I tune in. I'll stick with podcasts of what I want to listen to, and the best part of that is no Bob Joseph! -
The media has finally turned on Cuomo

Auto Mechanic recommondations
BC is History replied to 27 Time World Champions's topic in Local Topics
Shara's Auto Repair in Endwell quoted me a price to for a new slave cylinder and installation, and when I picked it up they charged me about 100 dollars less than the original quote. The only time I can ever remember a mechanic charging less than a quote. This did happen 20 years ago, so your mileage may vary. -
And if it's not enough, they'll find more. The fix is in.

11/9: Still time for Dems to find 31,000 ballots somewhere. 11/10: Still time for Dems to find 29,000 ballots somewhere.

They aren't even hiding their cheating any more. A complete and utter disgrace.

Why are Dems rejecting Republican stimulus offers?
BC is History replied to thomas's topic in Local Topics
It was rejected because Princess Pelosi included 400+ BILLION to bail out poorly led democrat city and state governments that locked everything down for months on end crippling their own economies. The bill also included 200+ BILLION for schools, but only if the school has kept their teacher's union contract intact. 120+ BILLION for restaurants, but those that run by minorities or women get special treatment. Yeah, because that's fair. On top of it all, she tried to sneak in changes to the election law that would undermine the 2020 election. The bill wanted to strip voter ID requirements, force states to count mail-in ballots 10 days after the election, and would force all states to allow election day registration. Now what does election law changes have to do with the Chinese virus and why is it in this bill? Is it clear now why this bill was a non-starter in the senate? It was a garbage bill, made by garbage politicians. -
Huge lines to early vote today in Broome County. Good sign for Republicans?

Main Street? The same Main Street that Shanghai Joe will shut down when someone can't stifle a sneeze? -
Why are Dems rejecting Republican stimulus offers?

As sad and petty as it is, Democrats didn't want another check to go out to the American people with Donald Trump's signature on it this close to the election. -
Biden is a pedophile, laptop from hell.

Alpha male dominance, of course. -
The tax cuts under Trump that were enough to earn my vote again. My paycheck, from that alone, went up 400 dollars a month -- and that is net take home pay! Those tax cuts will EXPIRE in a few years, and Biden has NO plans to renew them. While it may be true Biden won't implement new taxes on the middle class, he is effectively doing just that by not extending the Trump cuts. Sneaky and slimy. I expect nothing less from a dirty, plagiarizing, kid-sniffing politician that has been sucking the teat of the taxpayer for nearly half a century. Am I and my family better off now than 4 years ago? You bet! TRUMP 2020

Because Binghamtonian was peeping from the stall the whole night. -
I'm not sure if she received it or not. I had the flu a few years back and vowed to get the flu vaccination every year after that, but now I'm second guessing that. I haven't got my shot this year, and think I may skip it now.

My Grandmother is there, she tested positive twice and is asymptomatic. They were testing more of the residents because they had a small outbreak.

Most of those active City of Binghamton cases are at Good Shepherd Fairview. After seeing the SUNY Oneonta numbers (close to 700), the next few weeks should be interesting for BU.

Maines Paper and Candy What's going on???? Sold???
BC is History replied to Independent's topic in Local Topics
Once Dick's made that announcement they were stopping gun/ammo sales, I vowed to never again set foot in any of their stores. They don't sell anything essential, and nothing I can't find online for cheaper. -
What is Governor doing to stop covid spread from NYC?
BC is History replied to thomas's topic in Local Topics
He heard hot air may slow the virus, so he's out there gasbagging every chance he gets. Meanwhile, buses from the city are coming here multiple times a day, like rats leaving a sinking ship. Except many of these rats are carrying the plague.
