Tioga/Lupardo

Sen Libous and Donna Lupardo should be straight with the public. Tioga Downs is dictated by the State Lottery system, the mention of closing an attraction(?) and jobs lost is curious.

The jobs yes, the real main attraction if these two were honest, is the easy flow of money from the patrons who aren't getting an even deal. They are being duped into the hopes of a win.

The whole enterprise is based on a slam dunk cash cow.

Gural's hopes is to get more of that and he speaks of greed from the other's, he wants the same thing.

Since when did you ever get a fair shake from the state, and you expect it now?

If the state takes it over as it's owner which they can and keeps it open it's only because the money flow for them monthly is to good to pass up, has nothing to do with a great attraction for the area nor employing people.

Lapardo and Libous need to be voted out, but these jobs you are talking about dont amount to much anyways they arent high paying.

Wheres all the big companies these two were going to bring to our area? Maybe Garos Motorsports Park wasent such a bad idea in the first place. Horse racing never did take around here its been proven before. Tioga was a place where seniors went to have something to do but they would only spend 20 bucks so why not put in MotorSports and make some real money!

What a great idea! Polititions are not smart enough to grasp something so easy as to support a great idea as Motorsports for a dying area!

Garo Kachadourian was way ahead of his time years ago with the idea as Motorsports for Broome County, when i saw the guest Viewpoint article on the front page by Jack Cheevers his article supported Garos idea of Motorsports. Tioga Downs would be an ideal place or a professional Motorsports Park.

How long ago did Garo present his idea or proposal to the area? ! 10-15 years ago? Obviously nobody was listening.

A great article Mr. Cheevers at least you and Garo along with us understand (taxes, utilities) manufacturing is not coming (ALD) back in our future.

Garo and a motor sports park what a joke, if he really wanted to get a motorsports park how come he didn't look for another area around here. He talks the talk but he don't walk the walk.

exactly. he had a chance to buy it so why didn't he?? because he didn't have the million dollars needed to buy it. no one would finance him or his idea. and what about the airport drive-in? garo was going to buy that and turn it into a motorsports park. what happened to that idea??

if you asked anybody what is a more viable project, a motorsports park or a casino..i think they'll say casino.

isnt the race track that what's there names from elmira for sale?? go buy that one garo.
