As for your social programs deal, deal with it or get out to one of those better counties we hear about. Maybe Mexico or Afghanistan will suit you best. CUT THE BENEFITS FOR ALL WHO AREN'T PAYING THEIR OWN WAY. RAISE THE RETIREMENT AGE. When the program was designed we did not live nearly as long. The lifetime benefit that we are expected to receive from those programs is about $1,190,000 dollars. I would much rather have the money to invest for myself than give it to the governement. Given the way that they handle government programs, I have to wonder if either one of those programs will be able to provide what is promised. The study also showed that baby boomer and their parents will enjoy more benefit from those programs than anyone coming after them. This is total bs. A study found that of 18000 people polled in Canada, .5% of them sought treatment in the United States. Of that .5% less than 25% of those expressly came here for treatment, the rest were treated here because they happened to be here. So .5% of that is 90. 25% of that is 23 or so people. 23 out of 18000 people expressly sought treatment in the United States. HOLY CRAP SOCIALIZED MEDICINE FAIL! They have been fed conservative myths that they do not bother even thinking through on their own. Most cannot even differentiate terms such a univseral health care, single-payer sytems, socialized medicine, etc. Who has the best healthcare in the US and guaranteed benefits? The rich. The welfare class. Government employees. Union members. Who has the worst healthcare coverage or no coverage at all? The working middle class. The young adults. Small busineses and their employees. Basically the system the US has now (pre-Obamacare) is socialized medicine that penalizes small business and young, working families who are suspposedly the "backbone" of our capitalist system. Foreign companies have an advantage in international trade becuase they do not need to concern themselves with their employees' health benefits, it is already taken care of for them so they can concentrate on their primary businesses.
