The point was that most of the Law Guardians are either established Lawyers who can do the pro bono work, or they are new Lawyers just starting out looking to get their name out to the public. HIs supposed "experience" as Bucci's sock puppet and his "business acumen" was just what the city needed.....remember? It was all going as planned until Drazen ruined everything by running for office...as if Richie Rich's ascent to the 4th Floor of City Hall was pre-ordained....remember? Voters who chose Ryan over both Drazen and David weren't to blame.....nope....Drazen was to blame. The fact that Rich David with all his backing...with all his support....with all his experience as a "businessman" and "developer" and all his friends in the right places....still couldn't get himself elected. And immediately afterward, his apologists and those pulling his strings started in with the excuses.....accepting no blame themselves....and continuing this phony concocted narrative that Rich David was a successful entreprenuer and developer was robbed by the evil interloper Drazen...or by Citizen Action....or by the moon being in the 7th house and Jupiter being aligned with Mars.....in other words...it was everyone else's fault....but his. So Richie Rich went forward...slinging drinks to underage kids in his saloon...running up debts he couldn't pay....not paying his taxes....not showing up for his no-show patronage job at BCC....sticking it to taxpayers by jumping on the Corporate Welfare gravy train taking Obama's stimulus money despite the fact that his campaign was built on him being a successful "businessman" and developer who used his own "private money"...all the while listening to his handlers who told him he was entitled to be mayor and that he would be a shoo-in next time around. And the little slickster with the hair gel bought into all of it...believing his own bullsh*t....running around town like he was already mayor...and that actually becoming mayor was just a formality, and then one day very soon, he would find himself with control of the cookie jar...handing out government goodies to his friends, family, and campaign contributors........and of course, starting a whole new round of self-serving lies so he could remain in power. There's been a lot of talk about where Drazen has been these past 4 years.....I suppose a more appropriate question is what has Rich David been doing these past 4 years????.....and now we know....he's been serving underage kids drinks...running up debts be can't pay.....failing to pay his taxes...ruining his reputation, and running his "businesses" into bankruptcy. This is the guy who was supposed to "save" Binghamton from Matt Ryan? Tell me how he is any better or different than Matt Ryan???? They're both spoiled, man-child Peter-Pan-like brats who never grew up. Where's Drazen been? Well...he's been running his law practice ( a job where he actually has to show up to get paid).......paying his bills.....and his taxes....supporting his family, and raising his daughter.......real nasty stuff, huh? Face it.....I know...it's hard to admit....it must really....REALLY sting...you had your chance to elect someone who actually pays his taxes...a family man with deep roots and a long-term committment to Binghamton.....someone who has fought in the trenches of city government for the last 20 years...attempting to hold accountable, those who are supposed to be stewards of the public trust...someone who would not simply spout empty rhetoric about change, but actually change the way Binghamton has operated for the last 40 years..... and you blew it.....you could have elected....wait for it....here it comes.....Drazen. If it helps...look at it this way....Drazen didn't ruin Rich David's chance to save Binghamton from Matt Ryan...he saved Binghamton from Rich David....there's some logic you might understand. Guest Guest Posted February 25, 2013 Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 With the City of Binghamton the owner of NYSEG Stadium, how can we trust Doug Drazen to fulfill the city's obligations to the stadium and to the family friendly baseball club, when he has been involved in a nasty lawsuit with the Binghamton Mets Baseball Club? How much does Drazen owe the Mets? Why didn't he just pay them, I thought he was a successful lawyer? If Drazen can't negotiate with a family entertainment sports club, how can we expect him to govern our city? These questions need to be answered.
