27 Time World Champions Posted July 5, 2014 Report Share Posted July 5, 2014 July 4, 2014 is the 75th anniversary of the 'Luckiest Man' speech given by Lou Gehrig, the Yankee Iron Horse. Here it is with 30 first basemen (along with a short stop) reciting parts of Lou Gehrig's farewell. Great tribute to a great player and a great man. I still get a lump in my throat when I hear this.
