The Trump #MAGA Patriots are taking over the GOP

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R Kentucky) reportedly spent $30 million in the Tuesday primary to keep his boy, Senator Luther Strange (R Alabama) in the seat, formerly held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions. After Sessions was appointed Attorney General by Trump, they have been going through the process of filling this seat permanently. In a runoff, held Tuesday, Republican Judge Roy Moore won decisively. He reportedly spent $1 million.

 

Trump played the game to maintain some leverage with McConnell by endorsing Strange, according to some. He even attended a campaign event for Strange. But I think he trusted all along #MAGA was going to boot establishment McConnell's puppet Strange. During the campaign event for Strange, Trump basically "unendorsed" Strange. A signal that all was good with #MAGA. Since last nights election, Trump has spoken to Judge Moore and welcomed him to the #MAGA family.

And in another huge blow to the Republican establishment, Senator Bob Corker (R Tennessee) announced, soon after Judge Moore's victory, that he would not run for reelection in 2018. They know we are coming for them and no amount of money will save their elections from #MAGA Patriots. What a great time to be alive.
