Drunk driver who injured sheriff's depity is Asst. Chief Bill Yeager's son in law

BCVoice News has learned Daniel Butash, the drunk driver who injured Broome Sheriff's deputy Kristy Botsford, is the son in law of Binghamton Police Assistant Chief Bill Yeager.

Drunken Daniel Butash was driving a pricy late model Tesla, when he nearly killed the young female police officer.  BCVoice has also learned the perp works for Lockheed Martin, and his wife is a pharmacist.

Many of us were shocked when Judge Kevin Dooley let Butash out of jail last week.  Now we are questioning what communication Yager and Joseph Zikuski had with Dooley, before drunken Daniel Butash was released from jail?

BinghamtonBill is working on a series of FOILs to Judge Kevin Dooley's office.

Butash was also evading police, when he hit Deputy Botsford.  Despite being the son in law of the Assistant Police Chief of Binghamton, he ran when police tried to pull him over.  So much for respect for law enforcement.

Bill Yeager has no balls.  He's been a Zikuski yes man his entire career. Rather than stand up for what's right, Yeager has helped oversee the dismantling of the BPD, because of Zikuski.  Yeager has been complicit in the corruption at the BPD, and he's no better than Zikuski.

Now Yeager wants us to feel sorry for him and his family.  Sorry Bill, what about all the families Joe Zikuski destroyed, while you stood by, encouraging him and covering up for him?

I'm sure a sweet deal is already in the works for Mr. Butash, .     Rumor has it many years ago then District Attorney Dooley was driving southbound across the State St Bridge when his vehicle went over the median into the northbound lanes and ended up on New Street.   No tickets issued , no arrest , just a bad night for DA Dooley.  Mollen was his boss back then and BPD investigated the accident.  Both Judge Dooley and his wife know Yeager well from their time in the District Attorneys office,  there is no way Dooley should have anything to do with this case.  Business as usual in Broome County.   You can make up your mind that if Butash was not connected he would be in Broome County Jail not being portrayed as the victim.  You would think some of our local media would have picked up on this obvious conflict.

Where the hell is the Sheriff on this????

This SOB almost killed one of his deputies!!

He should be out there front and center clamoring for this guy to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Is he afraid of Zikuski??

Is he afraid of Dooley?

C'mon Dave......STEP UP!!!!

Hey where's that exclusive writer of the Binghamton Press Anthony Borrielli on this story! Notta on this one maybe because of his tight connections to Fast Freddie?

Anthony Borrelli’s coverage on this incident is not great, he took a photo of Butash as his lawyer for his report from behind about 30 yards away from them.

Saw him at Wegmans yesterday boasting about how slow it was for once. Just another local hack writer who thinks the Press and Sun is the NY Times.

What's shocking about that? If he's not a flight risk and not a danger to society, shouldn't he be out of jail? Innocent until proven guilty, right?

FYI, he almost killed a deputy sheriff!

Where do you think Joe "I don't have any connections" Public would be sitting right now?

Dooley is a joke!

Instead of a robe to go into court, he should put on a big red nose, some makeup, and a pair of clown shoes!

It would be way more appropriate attire for him.

Just another one of Bijoy's "boys".
