Bing Mom
Many of the church festivals and summer events are right around the corner. But I haven't heard anything about July Fest. I think this is a terrible event. It backs up traffic and makes it very difficult to get through downtown. Unlike the Strawberry Fest or Greek Fest or the church festivals, there is no reason for July Fest. It has no feel or purpose. The items vendors sell are garbage. I really hope July Fest isn't happening again.

Baldy466
So any other event that is held downtown that unconvinced you is OK, just not July fest?
ndirish
Is attendance mandatory? If not -- stay home.

joehill7469
I and the wife personally like the July Fest , we get to see some of Binghamton's finest citizens. But on a more positive note we enjoy it with the music and the vendors , It's a good event for the city , we like it better than the spiedi Fest . Monkey Man
Every few years July Fest comes up on BCVoice, it turned into a running joke. Though I don't recall the original poster of this thread being in on it? There were some legit complaints in previous years, including: organizer Ron Sall using the event as means to promote his business above all else, and Ron Sall using non-profit July Fest money to donate to the political campaigns of the Fialas, which was proven here a few years ago.
