BinghamtonBill
BCVoice has learned this is how JASON GARNAR will SPIN the data breach, when the information is released later today.

Independent
This must be a watered down version they trying to spin it's only 5 months later Gee how can Garnar be so reckless! 5 months later!!!! What i'm i saying 6 MONTH'S Later!!!!!
PeteMoss
So someone may have gotten into the email system of the District Attorney's office? WOW! The responsibility for this falls into the lap of the County CIO, James Dutcher and ultimately Garnar. This could still be an inside job. binghamtonian
Where do you see that it happened in the DA's office?

PeteMoss
Pending cases could have been compromised. This is a hot mess of huge proportions.

Nevermind, I was reading it as the breach occurred in the DA's office as in someone was in the office performing the email breach.

No problem. I see how you could have read that from my posting.
Guest 607
This is pretty simple. James Dutcher, the IT director who was joking about the hack on twitter, must be immediately fired. Or Jason Garnar can kiss his re-election goodbye.

Clyde
It would seem to me, being the head of IT for Broome County government, and the other public agencies they service, is more than a full time job. But James Dutcher seems to be growing his business, "AgZeit Indoor Farms", and receiving quite a bit of government money to do so. The grant process itself can be a full time job. I'm not saying that you can't have two careers. But starting and growing a business is often an 80-100 hour a week job. How does he have time to oversee Broome IT? a taxpayer
so the county knew about a possible breach on Jan 2nd on Jan 7th they REALLY knew there was a breach on April 7th , after a LENGTHY investigation, they figured out what/who was breached on June 1st or so the public becomes aware of this???? wOw, talk about a cover-up.... Which is why this hack happened. Somebody wasn’t doing their job......
Seamus McPissed
James Dutcher has been a meathead since high school. In fact, the whole family is useless.
Clyde
According to the AgZeit Facebook page, Dutcher handles the Facebook posts. And if you look at the posts, most of them are during the work day. So is Dutcher running his business on County time?
