Allow me to be more clear on the prior statement: My point was BLM wants media to show images of white folks in their daytime peaceful gatherings to later say these (white) people returned later to cause violence and loot, to strike fear in BLM. That’s all.

ANTIFA (terrorist group) is known to be mostly white. Connect the dots as you will.

Moreover, Bing, I’m willing to wager these three young men are not knights of the KKK or any other white supremacist group.  If I’m right than Livingston is wrong.

Thanks Dan. Your clarification is helpful and I do agree.

Really pathetic. Can hardly wait for the Scooby Doo-style unveiling of who was in the SUV. Even if it's anarchist agitators, bizarre and assholish choice of targets even by their standards.

Cowardly and completely unfeeling.  Why on earth would you destroy a kids playground?

I didn't see Livingston say anything about them being white supremacists or anything of the kind, Dan. If I missed it, so be it, but all I saw was that he said the playground was retaliated against because it was the site of the protest - which is the rumor, that the arsonists were angry that they had been sent away and burned the playground for revenge.

As for the rest of it, if you were active in politics during the run-up to the Iraq War, you likely remember the ANSWER Coalition, which was quietly a front group for activists from the Workers World Party, a splinter faction that left the Socialist Workers Party years earlier because it wasn't pro-Soviet enough for them.

Each protest attracted so-called "black bloc" groups, overwhelmingly white anarchists who identified with the WWP's laundry list of issues, who would trash neighborhoods across the country. They teach each other riot tactics in advance and arrive prepared with gloves, helmets, etc., and try to convince others to get violent with them. Their theory was that the "revolution" would come about if they could lure in enough mainstream people and radicalize them.

"Antifa" is the same people in their current organizational incarnation. I've seen very little support for the narrative that there are white supremacist agitators in any significant numbers, but it's a fact - and I'm hearing this from black Republican friends on the ground in Austin who have been dealing with it firsthand - that chasing anarchists off has been a central activity for organizers and it's something that police and protest organizers are trying to work together on to the extent possible.

Describing "Antifa" as an organization is a bit of an oxymoron....organized anarchists?

At best it is a disparate bunch of like-minded people that just want to tear down society.  There is no over-arching "organization".  Best way to deal with them is to simply arrest them for the crimes that they commit or conspiracy to do so.

What's really hypocritical of them is that,  while they claim to be against capitalism, past information and videos shot on the streets have shown that many in Antifa are PAID agitators.

We could talk about the inanity of that all day, and ultimately, I think there's a grain of truth to horseshoe theory, not to mention Blair's Law. It doesn't really matter if they're white supremacist shills or anarchists, they're still just idiots.

I understand where you're going about there being no hierarchical organization, a lot of the rhetoric about this is just hysteria. However, those groups do coordinate with each other to share tactical playbooks and schedule events. A surprising number of folks getting themselves arrested acting out are clearly just washed-up old hippies having their last go at this.

You are right, they have medics on corners to care for their people and to pull them out of harms way. Also, they pay to bus their ppl in and set up stations of bricks around the city so yes they are cordinated to some effect. With Trump labeling them as a terrorist group, there is a greater chance the government can charge George soros with a financier charge if they have enough evidence

I see from Solaks twitter they're planning to bring it to my neighborhood...Cheri Lindsey Park. 7:00 pm

You know they aren't going to be happy until they loot something, anything, even if it's a lousy Family Dollar store. There's CVS, Family Dollar, a liquor store, a phone store across the street. a few things in the Plaza...the Flea Market, I think a few vendors have jewelry/watches, right in the front actually...a few smaller shops...

THERE IS A LOT OF GLASS TO BREAK.

I DON'T KNOW IF THERE STILL IS, BUT THAT PARK USED TO HAVE A CHAIN LINK FENCE THAT WAS LOCKED AFTER THE POOL CLOSED AT NIGHT. It's not too late, if there isn't a fence the city should get one up right now.

post edit...and Cordiscos Corner Store and St Paul's Church. Calvary Baptist on the corner of Moffatt. I bet they'll leave Centenary alone.

I know some of you saw they torched St John's Episcopal in Washington  DC but they also desecrated St Patricks Cathedral.

My best idea is to block off the space between the 2 plaza buildings that allows access between the park and the plaza. Block it off or post the police. In fact, I would block off all access to the park except by the entrance on Truesdale Street.

SORRY, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE PARK ENTRANCE.

AFTER ALL, THE PLAZA IS PRIVATE PROPERTY.

Good observations, Bingo.

Could be, Yankee. I don't care for radicals on either side of the spectrum.

This is on Mayor David for not enacting a curfew. He is complicit in this.

Enacting a curfew that the city does not have the resources to enforce only gives the bad guys / gals more power.

How about just do the right thing.  What kind of person wakes up in the mornings and thinks ---  What can I break or burn today?

I don't want to make more of them than they are. They're mostly just stupid kids playing wannabe radical, and I saw a video today of one of their "medics" in action. Kid who got hit with a rubber bullet and was barely bleeding, in meltdown mode that she was going to lose her leg. You can tell she was from the 'burbs and has never gotten hurt before. More likely to lose that leg to the half-assed tourniquet the "medic" was applying.

Still, even a completely useless person, it doesn't take much money to do some harm. Good cross-section of the looters in Austin, the people I'm in touch with there leave at sunset, as do a lot of other protesters, because they don't want to be around these people:

The scenes playing out across the country are more complicated, and vary more from city to city, than CNN would have you think.

I think the larger point here is that these events are not just coincidentally happening all around the country at the same time.

There are persons coordinating and financing this.  Those pallets of bricks didn’t just buy themselves and walk over to where they were found.  Someone also paid for those buses and recruited the people that rode in on them.

It’s also not a coincidence that every MSM outlet is running with the same spin on events.

If one takes a look at who owns the media in the US, and who is financing and directing the unrest, they’ll find it is one and the same group.

Here's a thought:

Maybe the protesters from Sunday can find time to plan another 'get together' to help rebuild the handicapped children playground at Rec Park to show they are not part of the riot/loot/arson crowd?

I won't hold my breath waiting.

You are spot on. These are highly organized and financed to the point that foreign influence and management is the logical conclusion.
