PeteMoss
I tried to follow the article on the P&SB website but it makes no sense. The state has identified a yellow corridor which basically follows Main Street. They have designated 4 UE schools, Bingo SD and the Catholic schools as schools that must test 20% of students and staff. Parents and staff can not refuse the tests. UE has to test 440 students and staff each week. So why test Bingo schools? The students are all online. Are they going to go to homes to test the children? This whole state plan is confusing. The school districts don't understand the program because the state is just flying by the seat of their pants, making it up as they go along. Also UE doesn't have anyone to administer the tests. What a mess. https://www.pressconnects.com/story/news/public-safety/2020/10/16/yellow-zone-school-testing-finally-comes-into-focus/3678539001/
2pelo Honey
A Mom of 2 younger teens in the UE district told me they needed parental consent, and wondered what they’d do if everyone said no?
PeteMoss
They are looking for volunteers but: "Under a looming deadline to meet testing requirements, U-E described its testing plan, and said students and parents must consent to the tests.
