Huge lines to early vote today in Broome County. Good sign for Republicans?

The problem with early voting is that it was conceived to provide an option for the handful of people who genuinely can't vote on Election Day. That's why there are only four polling places.

People got it into their heads that should all show up on the first day, regardless of need, then complain that the lines are long.

The lines are still long, took a walk by the library a little while ago and asked one person how long they were waiting, they were still outside and said they were there about an hour and 20 minutes so far.

Drove by the Endicott library earlier this afternoon. The line was out the door, through the parking lot, and up the street almost to the school on the corner - WOW!

More people in one place in long lines waiting together for extended periods of time? Makes perfect sense to me.

The Broome Board of election has a track record of incompetency.  Look at some of the people who have worked there... DEBBIE PRESTON.  DEBRA BUTLER.  and that geek running for county executive who stocks shelves at the liquor store.

If you time it right, chances are you’ll wait less than a half hour. I went tonight after dinner and from the minute I got in line, I was back in my car in less than 20 minutes.
