Local News Sucks Posted January 5, 2021 Report Share Posted January 5, 2021 Had WBNG on about a week ago, and it was time for the "anchors" to turn it over to the sports babe (no need to remember her name, she will be gone within a few months) and the poor girl's audio wasn't on, so she couldn't be heard. The anchors started laughing hysterically. This is what local news has come to. You've got immature children on camera and in the control room. I'm not sure if it is because no one in their right mind wants to move here and work in this market, or because the station is offering lousy starting wages. Maybe both. When she started she spent a week learning about the area and how to pronounce the names of the cities and towns and the local pols. Now they just throw them in front of the camera. And if they aren't promoted to lead anchors in the next six months, the station is obviously racist. Does anyone remember the station's attempt at affirmative action in the '70s with Beverly Oxley?
