NWHL doubles salary cap. Rivs sold.

The NWHL is a major league. A Women's major hockey league with Boston, Toronto, NY/NJ, Buffalo, Minnesota, Connecticut. 

The National Women’s Hockey League today announced a substantial salary cap increase for its seventh season in 2021-22, doubling it from $150,000 to $300,000 per team.

NWHL ANNOUNCES SALE OF THE METROPOLITAN RIVETERS

May 26, 2021 (Brooklyn, N.Y.) – The National Women’s Hockey League today announced that the Metropolitan Riveters Hockey Club will undergo a sale and transfer of ownership from W Hockey Partners to BTM Partners. John Boynton will serve as the club’s Chairman.

The NWHL today announced that the Buffalo Beauts and Minnesota Whitecaps have been sold giving each team individual ownership. The new owners are led by Andy Scurto and Neil Leibman. 

All NWHL Teams Now in the Hands of Independent Owners
