BC to allocate millions to redevelop IBM CC property

Garnar said the funding from the county "will help alleviate the cost associated with demolition and other initial phases of work so that a developer can start here with a clean slate."The county executive said the large buildings and infrastructure at the site are "completely beyond repair."

 Agency officials say a residential or mixed-use residential complex would be preferred but is not required.

Heavy equipment began removing the abandoned buildings that were part of the iconic country club complex used by thousands of IBM Endicott employees and their families.

Bricks from the iconic Crocker Homestead at the Watson Boulevard property were made available Thursday by LeChase Construction and The Agency.
