One of the victims personally called DA Mike Korchak over 10 days ago, and he didn’t have the decency to take her call. The victim was looking for answers and support.

The way to get Korchak to aggressively prosecute someone is to start a rumor one of them may run against him for DA in 2023.

Thank you to BCVoice for breaking this story, to keep residents safe!  The first post here was on 11/29... we didn't hear a word of this from any other source until 12/8.  Nothing from BPD or Korchak until 12/10. BCVoice is more dedicated to our safety than the Binghamton Police or incompetent Mike Korchak.

And the local news media did not report on this topic until the P&SB on Sunday the 12th of December.

The longer this goes on it makes you wonder if the fix is not in on this.  I was told that the suspects in this matter were notified almost immediately of the complaint after it was filed. Perhaps it would be better if an outside agency was investigating this. Too many BPD members frequented those establishments.

Which one of these establishments has a bed in the basement? The police don't know about the bed?

Mayor David said on WNBF there was only one formal complaint the police were investigating.

Another caller mentioned there was an incident in Johnson City...what's that all about?

Almost two and a half weeks after the incident and no arrests. It is out there that a former employee saw a manager paying a police officer with a big wad of cash. It’s also not a secret that many police officers and many members of DA Korchak’s staff are regulars there, and friends of the owners. An outside agency like the state police and an outside DA should be brought in, because the BPD and Korchak are not doing their jobs.

NYSP should just replace the BPD entirely and expand. BPD are worthless

There was a guy arrested for raping an underage girl in JC that some people are trying to connect to this.

Seems like just a different perv.

A wad of cash exchanging hands doesn’t need to be related to the accusation. Unless the employee adds context, it means little.

Last Monday, December 5, when Korchak and his staff should have been working around the clock on this case, Korchak and an army of attorneys and investigators showed up at 5pm at the Republican Party fundraiser at Holiday Inn.  What a horrible thing to do to the victims and their families.  Work on the case stopped at 5pm, because Korchak cares more about politics than justice for the victims.

Korchak loves throwing cases out in the trash if it means less work

It is also alleged on a different platform that a sofa was taken out for landfill disposal about one week ago.

If true, this could probably be confirmed by the CCTV downtown.

A lot of the information people are posting on Facebook is part truth part questionable.

Agreed. There's a mix of every regional crank getting involved and hijacking the conversation to talk about their personal enemies, and also general confusion about names and places. The Facebook group came under pressure to become a more general survivors' group, which is important but has diluted the topic.

With that said, there are also some very, very specific stories about the way people were allegedly treated working for certain local businesses that are really sad and fit with other things I know about the people involved. Parents need to be aware of where they're sending their teenagers to look for jobs.

Video might show a dingy, stained sofa being loaded up. Where’s it going though? Cellular data might be more definitive.

On edit: A lot of folks thought the Harris case was a slam dunk.

Yep. CCTV might also establish who hauled it away, and there are only so many landfills once somebody knows what they're looking for.

I agree about the case. I'm - obviously - skeptical of the willingness to pursue this thoroughly, but these are also difficult cases to prove and often can't move quickly, even when there's a ton of public upset.

There have also been more than a few women commenting that they believe reporting sexual assault to BPD is useless because certain officers hassle women on State Street themselves, and because of Zikuski's reputation. There's going to be an uphill battle for the public to have confidence in the result. They need to get this right.

In addition to Yaron (Ron) Kweller and Jordan Ringden, who are co-owners of Colonial, Dos Rios, and Stone Fox, the third alleged rapist is Leor Kweller.

Leor Kweller is a New York City attorney, and brother of Ron Kweller. Leor was in Binghamton for Thanksgiving and Ron’s birthday when the alleged sexual assaults occurred.

At what point is there a crime scene? So that it could have been searched before anything was disturbed there?
