The Insider Posted January 16, 2022 Report Share Posted January 16, 2022 Word from Johnson City is that an off duty BPD officer was in the middle of a brawl at Fountains Tavern early Saturday morning. Rumor is the officer with the last name of Barnett was wildly throwing punches and struck several people. JCPD is investigating the matter and has video from inside the establishment. It was also reported shots were fired outside the establishment. Doubtful anything will come of this like most things lately it will be swept under the carpet because of who was involved. About 10 years ago there was a bad incident with Binghamton FD that involved a BB gun, and 3 BFD members committing several crimes against each other. One had fired the BB gun, the other 2 broke into his house and beat the crap out of him. Police were called but all got swept under the rug and nobody lost their jobs.
