Guest Guest
a question that deserves careful consideration is the way in which the Spitzer affair reflects the immense growth of government surveillance over every aspect of life in America. The kind of information that flowed from the New York governor’s bank into the hands of federal investigators is regularly collected through the monitoring of financial transactions of millions upon millions of Americans, along with their emails, telephone calls and travel information under the domestic spying operation run by the secretive National Security Agency. Under the pretext of waging a “global war on terror,” the Bush administration has demanded unrestricted access to this information, The end of democrecy is near and the consevitives don't seem to mind. I remember republicans wanting less government and less government debt. Why the big change? Fry the telecom companies!!!!!
Guest South Mouth
If we allow the republicans to spy at will we will never get them out of office. This I believe is also how most republicans privately feel. "It is ok to cheat as long as it is for my team" It's like legalizing Watergate. They would be singing a different toon if the shoe was on the other foot. The law is the law, that's what I'm told in court. Book em Dano
Guest Guest
Its a valid topic but I think you're off track on the political motive. Its about power, money, and marketing. Within a few years, the banks will have collected so much data about your purchasing habits that they can sell it to high paying advertisers who will target their ads very precisely to your patterns. In some ways that's good. In other ways its pretty scarey. I suggest cashing our paychecks and using as much cash as possible. Better yet, spend it immediately on hard goods to avoid the rapid devalueing that's going on. Buy gold, silver, dishwashers, and canned food. Guest Guest
Those banking suspicious activity reports have been around for years. They were not related to the war on terror, but to drug trafficking, tax evasion, etc. If you do not like it being done, do not use banks, or move away to another country. If you have nothing to hide, don't worry!

What is "Power to the people"? Are you an anarchist? Hope, for all our sakes, that your IP is forwarded to people who investigate idiot claims like yours.
