Guest Guest
Got a call from a friend who was taking her daughter to the movies at town square (Walmart Plaza) and for the inconvenience of not having power the theater gave them free tickets to come back when there is power and watch a movie of their choice. Guest Guest
New York State Electric and Gas reports 7,500 customers lost power in Vestal just before noon. NYSEG says crews are investigating a problem that originated at the Goudy Substation, but also affected the Rano and Vestal substations. Crews are still investigating the cause. The power outage affects a large section of Vestal including the Parkway, Binghamton Unviversity and sections of Endwell, Endicott and Johnson City. At this time, NYSEG does not have an estimate on when power will be restored.
