Poll Finds Most People Didn't Like Obama's Speech

Barack Obama’s speech about race on Tuesday impressed many who witnessed it or read it. But most of America did neither, and many of them -- white and black -- were less persuaded of the speech’s capacity to heal racial wounds, or to put the issue of race behind Obama as he continues his quest for the White House.

That’s according to a new poll by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion.

Of those who knew about the controversy and the speech, we asked, “Taking all this into account, are you more or less likely to support Obama for president?”

Less likely (52%)

More likely (19%)

About the same (27%)

No opinion (2%)

The poll displays no numbers flattering to Obama. Most startling is that blacks by 56% to 31% said the speech made them less likely to vote for him.

Democrats disapproved 48% to 28%, which looks sobering for Obama on first glance, but might portend otherwise.

The disturbing numbers for Obama are the independent voters. By 56% to 13%, they said they’re less likely to vote for him because of the speech.

This finding might explain media's errancy:

And Democratic whites were more sympathetic with the speech’s message than black ones.

As most press members are "Democratic whites," this explains a lot, doesn't it?

I'm not so much troubled by Jeremiah Wright's statements. There are many loony individuals. I am most troubled by the fact that it seemed like the entire congregation stood up, clapped and cheered when he made his outrageous statements. Obama had to know the culture and message of his church.

Most people join a church and a religion that makes them feel comfortable, that shares the same beliefs and values. This is what really troubles me about Obama. This issue speaks to the real inner Obama. I don't like what it is telling me.

This is now a critical problem for the democrats. I see no way that Clinton overtakes Obama in elected delegates. So here's the problem for the Dems.

Hillary gets the nomination with the super delegates. Angry blacks react by either not voting or voting Republican. Dems lose the election.

Obama gets the nomination but the pastor/religion thing never goes away resulting in majority of the electorate concerned. Dems lose the election.

Dems had it all this year but blew it.

Let's keep in mind at all times that negro culture is not inferior, only different. for example, many humans the world over celebrate Christmas and the principles of Jesus, who led an exemplary life. In the interests of multiculturalism and fairness, all of the other world's great religions have had spiritual leaders who exemplified dignity, integrity, and abided by their own principles.

Negroes have slightly different standards than humans for their spiritual leaders, but let's not judge. Here's some information about the founder of Kwanzaa, and his struggles to uphold high moral standards :

"In 1971 Karenga, Louis Smith, and Luz Maria Tamayo were convicted of felony assault and false imprisonment for assaulting and torturing two women from the Us organization, Deborah Jones & Gail Davis, over a two day period. [4] A May 14, 1971 article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of the women: "Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Ms. Davis's mouth and placed against Ms. Davis's face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said." They also were hit on the heads with toasters."

So you see, it's not hard to understand why the 'DELETED cheered Wright's statements. The number of morally courageous and principled negroes who actively resist the corruption and racialist conformism around them is very limited; in fact, such upright and intelligent blacks often separate themselves from the black community when they recognize how unwelcome they are in it.

Exactly correct! Americans want a courageous and principled president. This issue has made it obvious that Obama is not that person. Dems in big trouble with either of their candidates as posted earlier.
