How do you figure the best?

1- They are truly serious about training

2-They are better at their sports than you are at yours

It's the best place to train in the area

SCOTT GREEN IS AN ASSISTANT WRESTLING COACH AT BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY:

"Scott Green is one of the most recognizable names in New York as far as wrestling goes, " head coach Pat Popolizio said. "He is a tireless recruiter and possesses incredible knowledge of the national wrestling scene. We are fortunate to have him on our staff."

Green owns and operates the Shamrock Athletic Center in Nimmonsburg.

He is a 1993 graduate of Binghamton University with a BA in Literature and Rhetoric. He resides in Port Dickinson with his wife Jen, daughter Riley and son Caeran.

This is about a 40 something male who went to Shamrock to get bin shape and lose weight:

I actually started my quest right after Thanksgiving, so I'll catch you all up over the next week or so. I contacted Scott Green the founder of the Shamrock Wrestling club for a membership to the SHAAC, the Shamrock Home Athletic and Academic Center on Upper Front Street. The appeal of the SHAAC was that's it a small gym, it didn't appear cliquey, and members get 24 hours access which was a big plus for me.

What I didn't know at first was that it included sessions with an actual trainer. Enter Dickie White, head trainer for the Shamrock Wrestling Club. Dickie's a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Dickie's trained guys like 5 time NYS Wrestling Champion Troy Nickerson, 4 time NYS Wrestling Champion J.P. O'Connor, and a host of Section 4's top wrestlers. The company is a little intimidating, but I figured I didn't have success training myself, so I'd let a professional with proven results give it a shot.

I met with Dickie, and told him my goals of losing 50 lbs and getting in good shape. He told me to work on my cardiovascular system for the first week and then we'd start hitting the weights. I've never been big on weights so that will be the biggest challenge next to dieting. With that, he also said to not worry about my food intake until after the holidays. That way I could develop good excercise habits without stressing over meals.

I began my quest weighning in at 240-242 lbs, depending when and which scale I weighed myself on, so We'll say my goal is to weigh 190 lbs. I'll be back soon to catch you up with my progress....

Looks Like It's Mostly for WRESTLERS???

http://www.gotdickie.com/

it started that way, i think , but obviously it's more diverse now

softball players, gymnasts, runners a bunch of d one athletes from Bu and top local athletes

they have mixed martial arts classes too and cheerleading on the weekends

i think it's like $150 bucks for the year.

I will say this, the wrestlers do act like they own the place. a bunch of CV football players got laughed out of the place, they only last like a week- it was way too tough for them. some of the trainers only want to work with you if you are a top recruit in your sport, but others are pretty cool

I'll tell ya this, if the wrestlers in the area are doing it, you'd be stupid not to check it out. Wrestling has been by far the elite boys sport in this area for the last 20-25 years, maybe longer.

If this is how they train, it is the right way to train

Is Danni Koltz a wrestler?
