Items in the estate of Floyd "Vic" Hooker will be auctioned at 10 a.m. at Hooker Motor Sports, headquartered at 6990 Route 434, Apalachin. Mapes Auctioneers and Appraisers will handle the auction. A preview of the items will start at 8 a.m. Real estate won't be on the block, however. Even after winning the New York State lottery in 1999 Hooker chose to continue living in an apartment over the Parkview Restaurant in Owego, but he did use his money to start a racing team. Hooker, who died Sept. 29 at age 65, never married and had no children, but he left a will, according to his brother, Ron Hooker of Owego.
