Fox 40 News said last night Water/Sewer Superintendent Kevin Transue resigned last Friday. It said Luke Day would be in charge of the Water Board.

How bad is that? Did Transue refuse to go along with the Ryan charade?

Luke Day is making a shambles of DPW and now he going to sink the water department.

Has The Press & Sun-Bulletin reported on Transue quitting?

Does Calvin Stovall not think this resignation in the midst of a 67% increase in water rates is significant?

Is he just covering up for the Ryan regime again?

Even when you think it can not get worse it does.

That's the Ryan legacy, "If you think this is bad, just wait, it will get worse"

Kevin is a good guy. A straight shooter.

The Press & Sun should immediately approach him for the truth.

Many, many people jumping ship at City Hall.

Guest Oh No!

Kevin Transue was the most competent person working for the City of Binghamton. He was superintendant of both Water and Sewer! Now we are left with incompetents! Ryan, his assistant Tarfreak ($8,000 raise) and a No Nothing Rubber Stamp City Council. (When members of City Council were asked about the 42% water rate increase they stated - "We don't know anything about it" - Council is in the dark.)

With Kevin Transue gone how can the Water Filtration Plant operate? Wouldn’t someone have to have a Class A license to oversee the Water Filtration operation? Who is in charge of my water, making sure that it meets the standards?

You can be damn sure Luke Day has no such license.

Did Transue leave before or after the vote to raise the water rates? If AFTER was the vote legal?

11:23AM Wednsday, april 2 The PSB finally posts the "news" on website....

Who voted on the increase this week (Monday, I think)?

Was it legal?

Of course Transue leaving in the middle of this controversy has nothing to do with it.

None of the people leaving, like the Police Chief as their contract goes to arbitration has nothing to do with that either. Right!

Do you take the entire population of Broome County for fools????

If Transue left Friday, why wasn't it mentioned Saturday?

Why wasn't it mentioned Sunday?

Why wasn't it mentioned Monday?

Why wasn't it mentioned Tuesday?

Why wasn't it mentioned Tuesday night after the FOX 40 News?

Why wasn't it mentioned Wednesday morning online? Doesn't anybody watch FOX 40?

Why was it mentioned ONLY after I sent out an email and posted it on BCVOICE?

The Press & Sun-Bulletin would never had mentioned this without being pressure to do so.

Perhaps we should rename the newspaper The WhiteWash Bulletin?

City water superintendent retires

The City of Binghamton’s water and sewer superintendent retired on Friday.

Kevin Transue's retirement comes about one week after the city announced a 42 percent hike in water rates. The increase will be phased in over the next year.

City Director of Communications Andrew Block said the retirement was unrelated to the water rate issue. City officials have been in discussions with Transue about his retirement for several weeks, Block said.

Water plant supervisor Joe Yannuzzi has been named acting superintendent, said Block.

The city is currently in the process of determining who the next permanent superintendent will be, said Block.

That's great..., the "yannuzzi" family is nothing but a bunch of crooks! Look at the family tree of the Yannuzzi family..., nothing but trouble!

the only fools around here are us for letting this bs happen to us and our city.

Lets talk about who voted in Ryan. Did you expect anything more? Worse thing is if you do not have a class A license to run the water dept, DEC or the state can shut it down. Now what? And for the guy who is employed by the City that has the license, Shame on you...you have now became Ryans Beotch!!!

WBNG said nothing about this eventhough they were informed of it.

Don't they think residents/viewers having to pay 67% more in two and half years is important to them?

The city is going to hell in a handbag and they are showing cigarette anti-smoking puppets on their "news" broadcast.

maybe we need an investigation by the state?

There are very many things that should be investigated about the Ryan Administration.

HEAR!! HEAR!! Poppy, now you're talking.

Go for you.

Joe is a good guy and a family man. You know, you can pick your friends but you can;t pick your family. I'm glad you're neither of mine.!
