GOP to announce Broome executive candidate DICKINSON -- Broome County Republican Party will introduce its candidate for county executive this week. An announcement is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Polish Community Center, 347 Prospect St., Dickinson. GOP Chairwoman Debbie Preston declined to name the candidate when contacted Sunday. The office is currently held by Barbara Fiala, a Democrat. The announcement is in Dickinson... does that mean Mike Marinaccio is the candidate? A county ececutive challenger doesn't wait until mid April to announce, unless he has been forced into doing it. Guest Dick Posted April 7, 2008 Report Share Posted April 7, 2008 Mike thnks he is God to not have to raise taxes but it is easy when the County pays your town for the College and the jail,the dog shelter and when you have security from the college and the jail roaming there 24/7 and he thinks he is doing a good job. Pllease! put him where he has to scratch a bit and he will shudder as to how to manage. Think again Mike,trying to really govern is not that easy.
