What is the problem with staplers?

We put a man on the moon almost 40 years ago, yet no one can invent a stapler that doesn't jam up.

Try getting the staple out of the little slit once it gets jammed down in there.

I have two heavy duty, metal staplers sitting in my desk awaiting the garbage can. There's one more on my desk that actually works, for now.

It too, shall join it's comrades someday........soon.

No foolin'. 32 years ago in college I found a large, gray Swingline stapler in a snowbank. it's still working great to this very day.

They just don't make them well anymore. Where I work all of the old ones (20+ years old) work like a champ and never jam. You can see they are built better (and probably in the USA). All the newer ones work like crap.

Go to the swap shops on Clinton Street and see if you can find one that looks like it was made in the 70s or before.

I asked the lady in my office to get me one of the heaviest, all metal staplers she could find.

It lasted a week............maybe.
