Not to worry, here's the 2007 list.

Work is being done on the 2008 List.

Feel free to post your own Ryan failures right here:

KEEP TAKING DOWN WITHOUT GIVING ME A REASON & I'LL KEEP PUTTING IT UP.

I have all the code saved. It takes me a minute. You can explain to Garo why you keep deleting it. If somebody had the foresight to save & archive the old database I would not have to repost it.

What would BCVOICE be without the Ryan List of Failure???

Here is the 50 Item version. I'll have to search for the later list. The Ryan mismanagement and failure comes at us so fast and furious it is difficult to comnet on current events and maintain the list but don't worry it wil be updated soon.

and it is only October.....

NEW ITEM....NEW ITEM....NEW ITEM!!!!

The Ryan Failure List Hits 50!!!!!

(Really it has passed that but we have yet to catch up. Don't worry we will)

49. Ryan hires another homosexual out-of-towner to be Director of Community Relations, a for a community he knows nothing about. Adding to the the inexperience of the new hire (he left his last and first job out of school after two months) is the hypocrisy of Ryan claiming to want to keep BU and BCC students in the area but he hires a guy who graduated from Vassar (girl's college) who lives in New York City.

More hypocrisy from Ryan.

50. "Binghamton saw a 21.3 percent increase in violent crime between the first six months of this year and the same period in 2006, "

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll.../710030346/1001

Let's keep in mind that last year (2006) violent crime increased by 17% over 2005....

Compounded that is a 42% rise in crime in 18 months!!!!

Ryan will try to blame somebody else as he always does but crime is down in Broome County, only worse in Binghamton.

Crime under Matt Ryan is rising expotentially, along with taxes proving once again Matt Ryan is the worse Mayor in Binghamton history..

Binghamton was warned.

Keep electing Citizen Action/Working Families candidates like Lea Webb and Sean Massey and it will only get worse. Mary Clark at Citizen Action needs it to get worse.

The 2007 List of Ryan Failure

1. This speaks for itself:

photo of Mayor Doofus in orange jump suit

Matt.jpg

Nero played the violin while Rome burned, didn't he? Here's your 2007 version.

2. A highrise downtown, only one block from City Hall collapses. The busiestintersection in the downtown core is closed down. Mayor Mathew Tee Ryan has no comment nor plan. This collapse proves the uselessness of sending outthose 15,000 questionniares to improve code enforcement. The building had trees growing out the windows of the top floors and Ryan and the City did nothing about it.

In the words of Bob Dylan, "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing".

3. This may have to be a post-dated entry or retroactive item:

Lyin' Ryan has his arrest and conviction record in Vestal sealed Nov. 7,

2005 in an attmept to hide it from the public. Luckily we have copies

obtained before the files were sealed and they can be view at:

www.not allowed.com/matthew-ryan.pdf

4. Ryan appoints Binghamton University lesbian Dara Silberstein to the

Civil Service Commission as a Commissioner, paying her $2000 in a quidpro quo deal for her earlier support of him during the election

campaign. Silberstein, Director of the questionable Women Studies Center at BU, backs misogynist Ryan over a female candidate, show her true colors as a hypocrite and fake.

5 . Congratulations Tony (Massar). Keep after them.

Without taking a breath, Mayor Ryan has already come out against the initiative claiming that there are "confidentiality issues" and that there is a better way...he didn't say what that way is...but apparently it involves white-washing the issue while meeting in secret sessions at city hall with local non-profits who make money treating, housing and coddling sex offenders.

I think this might be one of the first failures of 2007 for Mayor Matt.

Should we add it to the list? (yes, it should as is)

6. Ryan and his rejects attempt to diveret attention from this list in typical Ryan fashion by plagarizing the idea and applying it to a private citizen. Of course, all see through the cheap ploy for what it is: their own inability to address the issues beng raised and their only defense is to attack the messenger rather than deal with the message.

7. Lyin' Ryan continues to attempt to take public credit for work done by Bucci, Libous and others, like consolidating tax collection with the county, the Restore NY Grant, the Riverwalk when it isn't under water, the new downtown BU building, the GIS listing an idea he stole, and there's probably more.

8. Thu Jan 18, 2007 9:41 am Post subject: BREAKING- Matt Ryan to VETO new police position!

Legislation passed last night at council (5 to 4, Rennia Weslar, Krame Collins voted aginst the extra policeman) to hire another police officer for the city is being vetoed by Matt Ryan according to inside sources.

Proof Ryan just doesn't get it.

9. Mayor Ryan also known as Laundo Matt told the Press & Waste Bulletin that Contingency Funds should be used only for emergency purposes.

Why then did he take money out of the Contingency Line for non-emergency reasons?

Fact: On December 18, 2006 Ryans legislation to transfer money from the Contingency Line for an Account Clerk in the Treasure's office was passed by City Council and he DID NOT VETO the Legislation!

Fact: On January 16, 2007 Ryans legislation to transfer over $17,000 from the Contingency Line to a newly created Police liaison position was passed by City Council and he DID NOT Veto this legislation.

Funny the press will report only their interests in articles other than these FACTS dealing with important City Issues!

10. Ryan "negotiated" the deal to take the hotel back.....and missed the deadline to apply for FEMA aid.

There is the crux of the problem, Mayor Matt "Doofus" Ryan missed the deadline. Now Ryan has to seek assistance from Sen. Schumer to overcome has own incompetence. Typical Ryan move, instead of doing the thing properly he has a "special circumstance" requiiring him to beg for another chance, just like in his personal life...

11. Phil's Gift leaves downtown Binghamton, emptying three more building on Court and Washington Streets, adding to urban abandonment and flying in the face of Ryan claims that downtown is "vibrant`".

Downtown is dying and it is dying faster with Matt Ryan in charge.

12. After yet another violent incidentt at Kennedy Fried Chicken on Main, bringing the total to over 100 police incidents, the Mayor Matthew Tee Ryan does nothing. Worse, Ryan says there is no crime or gang activity in Binghamton and refuses to hire more police, prefering to hire Communication Directors. and Youth Directors.

13. First real snow storm of Ryan's term and he and Luke Day have screwed up.

It figures.

When it comes to doing anything tangible these guys are zeros. This should not come as a surprise. They have nothing to point to in their 50+ years as parasites here, why would things change now.

Call another meeting Mattie, ask the neighborhoods if they want their streets plowed.

14.This illustrates perfectly the incompetence of Binghamton Mayor Maytt Ryan and his appointees.

As a result of Ryan's and Luke Day's negligence there was a car SPAM on Hawley Street today right at City Hall's door. I have photos I will post later.

It is no surprise there was an SPAM, on the busy street, with buses, pedestrians, traffic and construction the Doofus Duo (Ryan and Day) left huge piles of snow about 8 feet high and 15 feet wide all down the middle of Hawley Street. Just like the garbage that piles up across the Street form City Hall at the Parlor Commons, now snow is piled high right at the County, State and City Buildings. Ryan must see it right out of his 4th floor window.

Ryan is a pathetic, bumbling fool. His cronies are worse.

If the people involved in the SPAM today (around 11:30AM) would like to sue the City for negligence, contact BCVOICE we will have the photos you can use in court.

Leaving that much snow in that area is negligence, pure and simple. Get a good settlement.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The men at DPW have been plowing for years they have a system and that was done by the supervisers,Then Luke comes in and changes the plows to rubber blades they run out of salt, only calls on have the crew to fight one of the worst storms in the past 8 years, this was the worst part of leadership I have ever seen. Dispatch was completely flooded with calls from city residents to the police. We should of had a state of the city emergency because of Luke Day! Great Job Comissioner.

16. Director of city group linked to counterfeit money

February 18, 2007 •• 256 words •• ID: bng35395441

By Brian Liberatore bliberatore@pressconnects.com Press & Sun-Bulletin BINGHAMTON — The director of All People United was in jail Saturday with no bail after city police accused him of possessing counterfeit money and a loaded handgun. Davone J. Nealy, 25, of Allen Street, was charged Friday with one count of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies.

Davone Nealy worked closely with Matt Ryanon his campaigning going door-to-dor for him in some areas.

Davone Nealy was also sitting in on Neighborhood Assemblies, Neighborhood Watch Groups and on discussions about police surveillance.

Matt Ryan even sent Nealy and his cohorts from Citizen Action to Albany at the expense of the US Attorney to represent the City of Binghamton at Public Security meetings.

17. This little sign is a Ryan failure to foster econmic development:

BEDO: Binghamton Economic Decline Office or Merry "Plant-me-a-Garden" Harris' failure[/b]

Walking down Court Street to view the collapsing O'Neil Building I stumbled across this amusing but pathetic sight. I had to laugh and decided to share it with you.

Here is one of Merry Harris' efforts at Economic Development, her other two include working closely with repeat felon, Davone Nealy currently residing in Broome County lock-up for illegal possession of a loaded handgun and counterfeit money and her other work, a community garden. That's what she has done in 14 months.:

12458950cc7323678ad93813041e1ccd5aaa7892f55ae65b3ebae7eb063f6163cbafc511.jpg

In case you cannot make this out I took a close up as well:

That little faded sign is all that BEDO does to promote downtown development.

How sad. Should we laugh or cry?

Maybe we cannot entirely blame Merry Harris since she works for her criminal lawyer husband's client Matt Ryan (can you say quid pro quo???). Ryan decided to leave the 2007 Economic Development budget at 0% growth, while of course raising his Mayor's Office Budget by 38%.

Merry Harris total budget for economic development is reported to be $5200.

So after she has bought a few little paper signs and promoted a Hip-Hop Summit there is not much more to do.

You cannot make this stuff up.

Where is the local news media on this????

Stay tuned to BCVOICE for more photo, commentary and analysis.

Somebody has to do it.

18. Mayor Ryan divulges to The Press & Sun-Bulletin confidential information about Mirabito Fuel Group moving its offices from Sidney to Bighhamton before the deal was closed. Release of the confidential information jeopardizes the whole deal. Whether or not Mirabito does move to Binghamton Mayor Ryan's lack of judgment and inability to keep his mouth shut was a failure.

These signs lined Court Street. This one was at the corner of Court & State Streets. Note the pile of snow half on the street. Behind, shining in the sun, is the remaining half of the O'Neil Building waiting to collapse on somebody on State Street.

Can you believe this irony? A full week, seven days, after the storm signs are out telling us there is an emergency to remove the snow!

Sorry, that emergency is over. If they wait a couple more days the spring sunshine will take care of all the snow.

What a useless bunch.

The real emergency is Matt's high school dropout running DPW. He should be fired before somebody gets hurt due to his incompetence.

20. Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers and the state Department of Environmental Conservation this morning asked the city to stop dumping snow on the levy behind the Binghamton Plaza, on the north end of the city.

Mr. Matthew "Doofus" Ryan, was an instructor of Environmental Law or something to that effect at Binghamton University. He touted himself as a "green", environmentally friendly candidate. So, now Mayor, Ryan is behaving once again as a hypocrite.

This is very similar to Matt Ryan’s behavior as private citizen when as a landlord he tried to illegally evict his young, single female tenant for being a month late on the rent. Matt Ryan, lawyer, chose to ignore the law and legal process and he admitted it himself in a TV debate with FOX40 October 2005.

So, really it should come as know surprise that Matt Ryan continues to be a hypocrite and act illegally as Mayor since he did it as a private citizen.

Binghamton was warned.

City asked to cease dumping

BINGHAMTON Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers and the state Department of Environmental Conservation this morning asked the city to stop dumping snow on the levy behind the Binghamton Plaza, on the north end of the city.

"We don't want them to do any damage to the earthen part of the levy," said David Wilson a supervisor with the DEC.

Joyce Conant with the Army Corps of Engineers said that only vehicles with the corps or the DEC were authorized to be on the levy. DEC employees, Conant said, this morning asked the city to stop dumping.

Binghamton Public Works Superintendent Luke Day could not immediately be reached for comment.

21. Matt Ryan's friend and supporter Tim Grippen of Opportunities for Broome refuses to honor Tony Massar's subpoena forcing Massar to seek Douglas Walter Drazen's assistance to take them to court. Opportunities for Broome participated in the secret sex offender meetings at City Hall. What is Opportunities for Broome trying to hide? What is Matt Ryan trying to hide?

22. Matt Ryan's supporter Tim Grippen of Opportunities for Broome' s refusal to respond to the subpoenas issued by City Councilman Massar shame and embarrass the city nationally when Associated Press picks up this story. Word of it is even broadcast on WCAX the CBS affiliate of Burlington, VT, which is no doubt are familiar with Ryan since he went there after being elected to study their Living Wage legislation.

Furthermore, Deputy Mayor Tarik Abdelazim later tells The Press & Sun-Bulletin Sunday, March 4, that we do not have sex offender problem and tries to downplay the issue. Inexplicably City Hall under Matt Ryan continues to coddle sex offenders shield then from scrutiny and tries to convince us this is not a problem. Why? Why does City Hall defend the sex offenders and their profiteers like Tim Grippen and Opportunities for Broome and The Family and Children's Society?

Littering revelers upsetting for some

By Brian Liberatore

Press & Sun-Bulletin

BINGHAMTON -- The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade took a disquieting turn this year. Court Street Bridge stayed closed well after parade-goers had cleared out. City employees dealt with the aftermath of rowdy revelers -- broken glass, trash and empty beer bottles littered Main Street, just west of the bridge.

Mayor Ryan sees no problems, " Cleanup after the parade, Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan said, cost the city about $895 -- less than most other events. Ryan said Wednesday he thought the Saturday's unseasonably warm weather may have contributed to the boisterous crowd."

It was cold. Ryan must have been drunk because he was uaware of the weather.

Ryan's proposed solution? Ryan said. "Next year, we'll maybe try to do more outreach to make sure people are more respectful."

This is the same guy who, at 32-years old, led police on a high speed chase and told the police officers arresting him to "Fuuckooff".

24. City training session a waste:DPW Worker: Posted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 1:09 pm Post subject:

The Mad Russian wrote:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t there a position at City Hall called Personal and Safety Director. Now you would think that all the safety training of personal would be handled by the person holding that title.

Correct me again if I’m wrong, but isn’t this title held by a person who has held this position for over 13 years. My question is what has he done for the past 13 years?

I can honestly answer that question NOT A DAMN THING. This OSHA Seminar that we have been sitting threw has nothing, I repeat, NOTHING to do with what we do. It was all i could do to stay awake. Waste of time.

25. Ryan admits to gang problem but has no clue what to do about it.

26.Ryan used 4th floor city computers and city employees to launch a denail of service attack on BCVOICE. A federal crime....

DoS attacks are very common but they are not a joking matter. In the US, they can be a serious federal crime under the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act of 1996 with penalties that include years of imprisonment, and many countries have similar laws. For example, Jeffrey Lee Parson, the 19 year old who wrote a variant of the Blaster worm and used it to attack 48,000 computers, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in January 2005, and may additionally have to pay a substantial fine. At the very least, offenders can lose their Internet Service Provider (ISP) accounts, get suspended or fired if school/work resources are involved, etc. "

27. Ryan not only raises the Gay Pride at Flag City Hall again, offending many people but he issue an Executive Order recognizing same-sex marriages.

Mayor raises rainbow flag

June 2, 2007 •• 104 words •• ID: bng39963979

More than 100 people Friday gathered outside City Hall as Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan raised the rainbow flag. The flag, Ryan said, signifies Binghamton's support for its gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender population. Across the country, groups observe June as Gay Pride month. During the flag-raising ceremony, Ryan announced an executive order recognizing in Binghamton same-sex marriages legally performed in other states and jurisdictions.

28.The Wireless Network Debacle.

Difficult to say what is the worse about this since we have so few details. But let’s try:

a) Ryan gets $28,000 from City Council for a system nobody seems to want or need. The usual Ryan stooges voted for this, Weslar, Gerchman, Rennia and Collins.

B) There was no public tender. A company called Plexicomm seems to have gotten the contract. Their sole qualification seem to be that they did the small CyberCafé of Jeff Kahn’s Matt Ryan’s buddy.

c) There is no target market.

d) There is no idea of the fees that will be charged.

e) We do not know who or how it will be administered or maintained.

f) Maintaining the network will cost at least $36,00 PER YEAR according to Tarik Abdelazim.

g) The press release says the area being covered is 1-mile in radius. The aerial photo on the City web site illustrating the same pres release show and area far smaller than one-mile in radius. The area appears to be only about seven blocks.

29. Ryan’s new Communication Director Leigh Ann Scheider quits after only four months. She will be remember most for coining her “lines of communication are open” with regard to the O’Neil Building where nothing is getting done.

30. Ryan gets involved in another fight, this time at The Binghamton Regency Hotel, the Ryan the hypocrite who has four police incident reports and an arrest for harassing women say to the newspaper women should not be shoved around.

31.Ryan appoints another crony, Chuck Hemminway, who lied for him after the Jo Burrell Incident, to the City Planning Board. Hemminway. Like Luke Day, Merry Harris and most others Ryan has appointed , is not qualified for the job and may even be in conflict of interest given his ties to the construction industry.

32.After four months of waiting crime statistics for Binghamton released and they show violent crime rose 17% and larceny 22.5% in one year under Matt Ryan.

33. Ryan is said to have filed a false claim with FEMA over damages to the water treatment plan. Department of Homeland Security which oversees FEMA begins looking at this.

34.Luke Day allows lacks procedure at the same water treatment plant to release a cloud of toxic gas. Ryan’s administration tries to downplay the threat to the public.

35. Delta Airlines pulls out of Binghamton airport. Can we really blame Matt Ryan for this? Sure, why not, he would take credit if a new airline came so he can take the blame if one leaves.

36. Ryan once again siphons money off to Citizen Action by requiring people or groups interested in securing CDBG funds to do so through the Citizen action run and administered Neighborhood Assemblies.

John Cordiso, D-9th District, criticized Ryan's plan to put $70,000 into a fund that would allow residents to apply for grants of up to $2,000 through Neighborhood Assemblies.

Cordisco cited the program's association with Citizen Action, a local nonprofit advocacy group. Citizen Action, Cordisco said, was too closely aligned with the Working Families Party, which endorsed Ryan in his 2005 campaign for mayor.

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll...D=2007707120391

37. Ryan also asks for needless new positions of Blight Coordinator and Sustainable Development Coordinator, again increasing the tax burden by moving code officer onto the city budget to get these new ones on the CDBG monies.

38.Ryan blames City Council and not his lack of leadership in apparent "dysfunction" with council in a newspaper article of July 18. Ciyt Council serves as one more example of how divisive Matt Ryan really is. The most dissident councilman are two Democrats!

The dysfunction of Binghamton City Council is a direct result of Matt Ryan.

Ryan, despite his lying otherwise, has NEVER brought people together. He is the most divisive force to ever take hold of this community.

First he ripped apart the local Democratic Party. Now he is tearing the fabric of this town, a place he held in contempt for years because he believed it treated him unfairly. It didn't treat you unfairly, Matt, it was just that you had nothing of value to offer. You still don't.

Despite his winning of the election by the slimmest of pluralities, with virtually no mandate, Ryan is bulldozing through absurd changes and policies completely unrepresentative of the ideas and wishes of this community.

Ryan can do this because he has four stooges all manipulated by the same puppet master Ryan is manipulated by, Mary Clark of Citizen Action.

By the time Poverty Queen Clark, her felons (Davone Nealy & "T", among many) and stooges (Rennia, Collins, Weslaer, Gerchman) on City Council and in the Mayor's Office (Day, Daly) are finished with this town it will have been transformed from a safe, productive and pleasant town to a crime-ridden, dirt-filled haven for lazy, out-of-town welfare scammers, gang members and radical, militant, homosexuals (like Sean Massey mentioned above and Dara Silberstein appointed to a committee by Ryan) seeking to create their own version of hell here

That's why City Council is dysfunctional, Matt. It is because, still, nobody wants you. Your legacy as Mayor will be the same as your legacy in life: shame and waste

So continue your quick cash grabs, siphon all the money you can to Citizen Action in attempt to pave the way for your re-election, it won't make a difference, the first chance voters have to toss out you and Tarik Abdelazim and Luke Day and Jim Dessauer and your Youth Directors, and Blight Coordinators and Sustainable Development Coordinators they will.

Then the next person can start to pick up all the pieces you have broken.

39.Director of Public Works, Luke Day, who didn't or barely finished high school (we cannot be sure becuase he refused to give his resume to City Council) contradictions Engineers from the Army Corps of Engineeers and says his his "estimates" the flood walls"!!!!

Wed Jun 27, 2007 6:08 am Post subject:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Holy Mother of God! By Luke Daze estimates the walls would hold??????

This guy may or may not have even finished high school. He won't tell City Council nor offer his resume and he is going to estimate whether floodwalls are structurally sound!!!!!

How will he do that with his basic arithmetic? This guy should not even be left in charge of painting street lines and we are going to base our public security on his estimates?????

Where are the comments from Mayor Ryan? Did he not feel the need to weigh-in on what could result in the City of Binghamton being wiped out? Was he too busy golfing or leading a Gay Parade?

Binghamton hangs by a thread and these clowns have no clue.

Same article said, "The Army Corps of Engineers found that some barriers are in need of shoring up, and one channel feeding the Susquehanna River is at risk of "catastrophic failure."

Who are you going to believe???

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll...EWS01/706270344

40.Ryan tries to pass off a farmer's market that will be open only six hours day once a month in the parking lot of Big Lots as a sign of "hope" for a North Side grocery store. What it is a sign of is Ryan's desparation. Of course this is a stupid idea and nothing more than Ryan attempting to cover up yet another broken campaign promise, like Dr. Soden's Clinic in the First Ward that was supposed to go in if Ryan was elected? Where's the clinic? Where's the grocery store?

All more Ryan lies and pandering.

41.Ryan, council wage aid fight over Citizen Action. Ryan defends funding for nonprofit political organization

City council members are threatening to ax an AmeriCorps grant if the city doesn't cut Citizen Action from the Neighborhood Assembly Project, saying Citizen Action is too political for a purported apolitical program. The city council is demanding that Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan cut Citizen Action out of the Binghamton Neighborhood Assembly Project.

Council members say they will eliminate funding for the project's organizers if Citizen Action, a nonprofit political and social advocacy group, continues to play a role in the assemblies. It's a demand Ryan says he won't bend to.

Then Ryan should break if he won't bend.

42.Mayor Matt "Doofus" Ryan who cannot even keep the street beside city hall clean is going to weigh-in on nuclear abolition! Are we paying Ryan to waste time on a topic he knows little about and about which he can do even less???

Clean the streets, Doofus Ryan. Pick up the garbage, Dimwit. Lower violent crime instead of allowing it to rise 17% in a year, Dipstick.

Posted Tuesday July 31, 2007

Ryan to speak on nuclear abolition

Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan will discuss his reasons for calling for nuclear abolition during a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Broome County Council of Churches office at 3 Otseningo St.

Ryan said he will sign the Mayors for Peace statement on Aug. 6, the 62nd anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima.

Reservations are requested. For a reservations, call the council at 724-9130 by Aug. 10. A free will offering will be accepted.

43.Mayor Matt "Doofus" Ryan condones push polling by Citizen Action against City Council President Pat Russo to favor Lea Webb, a Citizen Action employee running agaisnt Russo in a primary election.

Obviously anything, anything at all Citizen Action does, no matter how corrupt is OK with Puppet Ryan.

Mary Clark has biitched-slapped Ryan into submission....

July 27, 2007

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll...D=2007707270343

44.Matt Ryan does an end-run around City Council and the will of the people by using Binghamton University, through Dara Silberstein, as a pawn in his manipulation of Binghamton City Hall.

“His circumventing City Council only underscores his hypocrisy regarding participatory government. He effectively went around the people elected to represent the taxpayers!

Ryan is a megalomaniac who needs to be reigned in; however with puppets like Rennia on City Council, I am surprised he had to pull such a sneaky move.” PSB web site

“This is just another breach of ethics for Mayor Ryan and his deputy Tarik Abdelazim. Dara Silberstein, with her lack of professionalism and militant agenda is an excellent example of what is wrong with our universities. She is exactly the type person that Ryan would be expected to choose to be associated with this program.” PSB web site

http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll.../708070339/1001

45.After local attorney Edward Crumb of the East Side presents proof that the Neighborhood Assembly Program and VISTA workers are corrupted and being used for political purposes by Citizen Action, Tarik Adbelazim and Mary Clark spread lies about him and about what was done to cover their slimy butts.

46. Ryan presents the 2008 Budget proposal and increase taxes again by 7.65 percent on the average tax rate for homeowners, and a whopping 8.89 percent jump for non-homestead properties. These are second consecutive increases by Ryan. Ryan blames it on risiing employee benefits while completely ingnoring the FACT that he went on a hiring spree and raised his own Offices's budget by 38% the year before.

47.At the same time Ryan is complaining about employee benefits increases "forcing" him to raise taxes, Ryan plan to hire yet another unnecessary employee, this time a Deputy Comptroller, as if the Comptroller himself is incapable of doing his job. More likely the Comptroller wants out and Ryan needs a replacement trained without telling anybody or Ryan's maangement, fiscal and budgetary, skills are so lacking he nedes two comptroilers to assist him. (actually Ryan plans to hire 10 more employees unless City Council stops him).

48. Ryan a liar.

He did not waste one taxpayer dollar he told ditzy Jessica Light of WBNG on camera.

http://www.wbng.com/news/local/9158186.html

Here is his waste:

Here's a thought...., hold on...., maybe WBNG could conduct a follow-up interview???

I know this is ground breaking stuff, a novel concept, but maybe they could present the FACTS to Ryan and ask for a comment?

"We did not waste one tax payer dollar," says Binghamton Mayor Matt "Lyin"" Ryan, to WBNG's Jessica Light, Aug 14, 2007. Ms. Light, it seems was not aware of the following....

Look at the things Matt Ryan is DIRECTLY responsible for. You have to laugh at apologists for Ryan who want to blame things on past mayoral administrations, or the State of New York or even George Bush for the current fiscal crisis Binghamton is experiencing.

We can easily point to about $1,000,000 of direct, absolute waste by Matt Ryan, not to mention the time and effort lost on these lost causes instead of dealing with real issues.

Why doesn't the Press & Sun-Bulletin hold Matt Ryan's feet to the fire and point out all the waste of tax payer dollars he is DIRECTLY responsible for?

Ryan immediately wasted $35,000 almost the day he stepped into office on a needless study so he could put it in the pockets of his buddy Justin Woods. Ryan threw the study out before it was even made public.

Ryan created the unnecessary position of Communication Director ($34,000) for Leigh Ann Scheider. She jumped ship after four months, gathering enough dirt on Ryan and Adbelazim to translate it to a $49,000 a year job at County. That the kind of loyalty Ryan breeds. City Council gets praise for cutting this position that is now empty anyway.

Ryan created a Youth Director position ($32,000). Nobody has a clue what she does. The county, state and federal government have youth directors, every church, school, and hospital and many charitable organizations also have youth director/counselors.

So that Ryan could get two more useless jobs on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Ryan transferred the Code Enforcement Officer back on to the City budget. There’s another $60,000 or more he added to the budget.

Ryan had to hire more engineers in the DPW because Luke Day, a high school dropout without any college education, who Ryan appointed to run the department has no clue what he is doing. There’s another $100,000 or so wasted.

Ryan wants to give Tarik a raise. (He now gave him another $8000)

Ryan still wants to create 10 more new positions even though he says employee costs are killing us. Before he cuts existing job, shouldn’t Ryan be prevented from hiring more people? What will that cost $500,000?

Ryan is spending $5000 every month on the Regency Hotel management. He spent about $100,000 to partially repair it. Somebody is supposed to be making $600,000 payments on the place every six months but we have no idea if they are or what else is being spent. If Ryan sat down with the PSB editorial board this is a question you might have wanted to ask him.

Ryan want to builds a Court Street Gateway/Roundabout. That will still cost the City at least $150,000 even if the federal government is paying most of it. Binghamton doesn’t need this roundabout, it will cause far more damage than good.

Ryan spent $28,000 on a municipal wifi project when other muni wifi projects are falling apart. The business model doesn’t work. There is no demand for them. This project will cost Binghamton $30,000 per year, Tarik Abdelazim said so himself in this newspaper. And that’s if it works, it won’t.

We could go on and on but why should we? Why do we have to? Shouldn’t that be the job of this newspaper and the rest of the news media in town?

49.Ryan hires another homosexual out-of-towner to be Director of Community Relations, a for a community he knows nothing about.

Add your own Ryan failures here.....

We will have to look into what to do.

That is only the partial 2007 list. The 2008 list has already begun and the 2006 list is on file.

I'm not sure how to make it all available pending its full publication next year.

Any ideas?

Create a Myspace website, or some other.

You can't tell me you can't find a free site to put that on.
