Guest Renter
I have been renting the same apartment in the first ward for 20 years. Code enforcement has made my land lord replace all the ceiling tiles in my living room, the bathroom floor and the kitchen stove. This never happened during the Bucci administration. The way I see it, Ryan is looking out for the little guy,me, You can say what you like about our Mayor but my living situation has improved because of him. He hasn't taken the side of the landlord he has taken the side of the tenant, That's me ,, that's different.

Guest Guest
Does that make you feel good when you speak in Old English? He is right, landlords write off repairs all of the time. Your tax dollars will in some way contribute in the end.

Guest renter
yes we know you cant buy a house on wefare income too bad How dare you. Do you think everyone in the first ward is on soc.ser. I am going to retire next year and I have worked mon thr fri since I was 15 years old. My neighbors are mostly retired EJ and Anitec employees. I am a registered republican but in Binghamton traditionally we vote for the best candidate. The one that is looking out for the renters "yes lower income" in the 1st ward. Guest SPJ
Interesting. During the Ryan administration, same as during the Bucci administration, if YOU, the tenant, invited the code inspectors in to cite such problems, by actually lodging a complaint, your situation would have been dealt with. So, excuse me while I call BS on this Ryan-Bucci comparison. Complaint-driven indoor-apartment inspections have primarily been on the tenant to report, considering that code inspectors, from any time frame, cannot and would not enter a premises unless invited. -SPJ

I guess you did not hear about the time Matthew T. Ryan threatened and yelled obscenities at his single female tenant, illegally entering her apartment while she called 911? The police officers so feared for the woman tenant's safety he dispatched two cars to the property and police officers, still on the force now, BTW, ecorted Ryan off his own proerty. That was a Friday. Ryan is a slower learner. He went back to see the woman two days later on Sunday and again police escorted him off his property. Most people who are not lawyers in a small town would have been jailed on the spot. Matthew T. Ryan is a lying hypocrite. IF you would like to read about this yourself here is the case number from the Binghamton Police Department files: Case #13972 06/06/97 Ryan verbally abuses Robin E. Meyerhof 30-years old woman at the time (41 now) and illegally enters her apartment at his mother's home to attempt to illegally evict her. Binghamton Police involved SGT. Hendrickson, Ryan states to police “he would use all the legal means at his disposal to make her (Meyerhoff’s) life miserable before leaving (the apartment).” @

Guest Guest
You think he changed in ten years: A couple months ago Ryan, as Mayor, basically forced his way into students apartment to evict them. December 2005 Ryan appears in Town of Dickinson Court for harassing Josephine Burrel November 2005 Ryan verbally abuses Arlene Nannery at a church cabaret. Case #03-33821 11/08/03 time: 21:11h. (9:11pm) Ryan harasses and shoves Elizabeth Brightwell at Star Dry Cleaners LaundroMatt. She was 48-year old at the time. Ryan was 52-years old. (How does a 52-year old lawyer not have a washer & dryer in his home. Two years later he is elected Mayor! God Bless America where anything is possible.). Case #61784 10/12/99, 13:36hours 1:30pm Same Laundromat four years earlier, Ryan harasses a Michelle Fleury 27-year old woman. Binghamton Police Officer: J. Now that your living conditions are much improved you can bet he or she'll will need to recoup the money they put into it and realize they can get more money a month for the place. Guest Renter
My landlord, who lives in Scranton, has assured me that my rent will not increase. These repairs were long over due. R.S.
I dont trust renting. I been there. I know sooner or later if any repairs are made by the landlord. The tenant will pay more rent sooner or later. Landlords gotta get there money back some how so they raise the rent. Its sad but true @
