Guest Guest
People like Ed not allowed can complain all they want to about Mayor Ryan's efforts in office, but most thinking, informed people in Binghamton know that Ed is just a mouthpiece for local businessmen with Republican connections. His comments, while not officially endorsed by the Broome GOP, are part of a campaign of the party's to discredit Ryan at any cost, including astroturfing, and generally violating the McCain-Feingold Act through various activities. tom
And I'll bet a dollar to a donut you support the Fairness Doctrine too! Wouldn't it be nice if you could silence the opposition? The opposition being those who believe they are being taken for a ride as usual.

Do you really think that Ed, or anyone else has to discredit Mayor Matthew T. Ryan? It’s the only thing he does well by himself.

Yeah Right. It's Republican Ed not Matt Ryan. Or maybe it's even George Bush per the Mayor's constant whine. But if so, then please answer the following for us obviously uninformed tax payers: What did Ed have to do with hoisting the completely absurd & unnecessary 4-year tax busting Fire Union Agreement on us? What did Ed have to do with the City's mishandled loss of the critical FEMA Residential buy-out grant for those living along the unpredictable rivers? What did Ed have to do with ignoring the water fund deficit until it became necessary to inflict a 40% increase and form a committee to go after the delinquents after public outcry? What did Ed have to do with attempting to sneak salary raises for those now proven incompetents within the inner-circle of the present City administration? What did Ed have to do with running out of salt for City streets in the dead of winter? What did Ed have to do with the wasting of precious City resources on non essential and unproductive social fluff like community gardens, south side commons, park parties, north side grocery stores, downtown WiFi & traffic round abouts while buildings collapse and the streets begin to resemble the dirt roads of Dodge City. If you can rationally answer the above, it truly is a blessing that Ed isn't our Mayor. @
