Too bad Shanahan suspended Hagelin for three games due to a reckless ( not intentional) elbow to the head of Alfredsson that caused a yet "undetermined" injury. It seems extreme for a first time suspension of a talented youngster who actually plays hockey (not a thug)... He and his speed will be missed and may very well be looked on as a turning point in the series should the Rangers lose. Ironically Carkner, who is nothing other than a thug ( and has previously broken another players eye socket during a cowardly attack ) gets only one game for attacking Brian Boyle, and continuing the attack while Boyle was on the ice and defenseless.... What a joke, the guy who accidently injures someone sits for three games and the guy who tries but fails to injure someone in a brutal and I quote Shanahan here, "illegal and excessively violent act" only gets a one game suspension !!!???
