Rankings as always are a joke, there is no AA team in Section 4 worthy of a mention at all. Elmira being ranked all year is a joke other than the opening game win over Vestal they really have shown no ability to step the game up. JC not being ranked in A is just as bad a choice, they have lost once to a state ranked team and they came back to beat that team. Their other loss was to a strong AA sized Pa school by one goal. The B schools are about right, SV is a solid team same for Oneonta same for the C rankings although undefeated Unatego might deserve to be above a 2 loss OM team. Granted OM has lost only to #2 Lansing so its debatable since Unatego has played no one solid. The rankings depend on people to call in the areas and it just seems like whoever does the Binghamton area is out of touch in large school info.

Emira deserves to be ranked as they without a doubt have the bext player in STAC. He is leading his team in multiple categories,

shots on goal he has 63 the remainder of his team has 47

Scoring % he scores 33.3% of the time he shoots

He leads the team in yellow cards

He has made both penalty shots he has taken

THey are ranked every week because of the coach and who he knows not on the record of the team. Elmira may not even win divisions or sectionals. We will have to wait and see. They have corning and UE this week and have already lost to each one of them...

They deserve no ranking, their one player is not that good, so he leads a bad team in numerous categories, so do lots of other kids. The Prime kid from Norwich leads his team in a lot of areas it doesn't mean they deserve to be ranked anything anywhere.

Making 2 for 2 pks is nothing doesn't even merit a mention in this discussion. Outshooting the rest of his team means nothing except he shoots a lot and they don't. His team has lost 4 games and in those four he has scored 1 goal, stop him and the team loses end of statement. I won't even give him best player in STAC honors, not by a long shot. Felton from Vestal has about the same amount of goals and his team has lost only once. Hans Purtell from JC just as many goals as Alex and only 2 losses for his squad. Rood from SV has lead his team to a one loss season so far and leads his team in goals and assists now thats a feat. However none of that matters in team rank, what matters there is is the team good and for a AA Elmira is not good.

Elmira is a terrible team they only have one good player and if he gets shut down it shows the true depth of that team. I agree no way they deserve to be ranked.

I will sacrificially remove my own testicles if someone calls that kid the best player in STAC one more time.

Mike.

Rood.

Will.

Destroy.

Everyone.

He's leaving high school early so he can be ready to start for his D1 team. Is Elmira boy doing that? No. So sit down and let Mike Rood show you what's up.

First, Alex V. Get off BC voice and stop embarrassing yourself. Please.

Literally every year since the kid was in 8th grade, he or one of his minons gets on here, and procedes to tell everyone that Elmira has the best kid in section 4 playing for them.

Then again since they never say a name I've started that they must be talking about someone else on Elmira, who is a better more complete player. Curtis Grant. He actually distributes the ball and makes himself dangerous. It's a shame he'll never get the attention that his teammate gets, then again, he's the more respected one in the end.
