Guest Vestal Resident Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 Was just listening to my scanner and VVFD was called out for a possible chimney fire. Call was made by a third party, someone driving by the house. What gets me is that the caller didn't even stop to alert the residents..... they kept going!!! What's wrong with people these days? Grim Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 By calling what she/he thought was a fire in was good, Yes she should have stopped after she called BUT most people wouldn't even call 911. Just see it, and drive right by just thinking to them selfs "someone else will call it in". Then people will come on this site and cry that Vestal Fire wasn't fast enough.
