EBT system down this Sunday, May 19? Beware of Binghamton & Endicott Price Choppers!

If the NY EBT food stamp system is not working this Sunday, it will be pure chaos at certain grocery stores like the Binghamton and Endicott Price Choppers. It doesn't seem likely many EBT users follow the news and current events, so they won't know their cards won't work.  I expect mass shoplifting across the state on Sunday, especially at stores with higher percentage of EBT users. The only saving grace is, if the system is back up at 11AM, like the state claims, that is still hours before many EBT clients wake up on a Sunday.
