from the Country Courier newspaper Donald Einstein has announced he will retire March 31, 2023. Ms.Gretchen Van Walterop will take over operations beginning in April. The Country Courier, Windstor Standard (145 yrs old), and Vestal Town Crier. "I really did not want to see local papers with such a long history go away. This is a large undertaking. Subscriptions and advertisers are what keep papers going locally," she said. The printed papers will shift from a Wednesday to Friday delivery. This will help fill the news gap from the Binghamton Press no longer printing a Saturday edition.
