They have used that influence to eliminate free trade in the country and diminish the benefits of capitalism. An example of their methods is the control of information. People need all of the information about a product to make informed decisions in the marketplace. Corporations do all they can to keep all they can secret and distort the public information. Exactly as Bush has done. First of all, we have more free trade than ever before and it has benefited everybody. We also have more access to diverse sources of information than ever before. If corporations had all this control, why aren't oil companies drilling for oil in the mid-west and why are drug companies paying billions in lawsuits over things we shouldn't know in the first place? Some people believe everything they read. The Prescott Bush theory is discredited on its face. Even bringing it up discredits any debate. My grandfather spent some time in jail a long time ago. What would that have to do with me? You can use the same logic for the Bush family. Does anyone remember what a popular actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was until he ran against democrat Governor Grey Davis? Suddenly, the democrats called Arnold a Nazi sympathizer because his father was a Nazi a very long time ago. Ridiculous comparisons. Think before you post.
