Well, actually Tom, the global temerature is rising at a rate that has never before been seen in the history of the planet. Now whether that means humans exclusively caused this rise in temperatures by themselves is unlikely - but there is such a large amount of evidence that humans have contributed to this before unheard of rise in temperature, that over 95% of scientists agree we in deed have contributed. So I guess the answer to your question is - yes, we are seeing things that we have not seen before - 1) a very quick increase in temperature 2) indications we contribute to it. He said that at that point the temperatures were the coldest in recent history. I am not certain what they did in greenland hundreds of years ago has to do with the rapid increase in temperature around the globe today - but I am sure somewhere n your mind ther is a connection. I am not taking about what the temperatures are - I am tal,king about how quickly they have increased. And again, this is something we have not seen in history of the planet, not just modern human history.
