Do you think they would want to stay in this area without a major University to recruit from? They would for a while, but any VP worth a pound would see the need to abandon the area as soon as possible (meaning slowly over time, but get it done eventually, product by product, department by department). What about IBM, L3, etc... What will they think about loosing BU? You don't get it do you? BU is keeping this hole alive!!! Without it, NO employers who hire skilled labor would want to stay around, or move in!!!! The value of BU should be so obvious that it is kicking you in the head!!!
