All of it...

I see we have no response to Tarik's idea of equality and social justice do we.

Judging by the amount of effort being used to change the subject I'd say he is very worried............

What are the penailites for what Tarik is alleged to have done?

How many times in how many ways do you want me to respond?

Again, clearly the question was answered:

no, it is not.

As for Tarik's alleged actions, obstruction of justice, let's hope the District Attorney looks into them.

Any comment from Citizen Action on this hypocrisy by their boy Tarik?

How do the other protesters feel about Maria Theresa Starzman trying to get special treatment through her boyfriend Tarik?

Where's that solidarity?

Come on Tarik, let's get some of your verbose bovine excrement.

You have NOT answered the question.....all you do is dodge and try to deflect attention to others. Did you or did you not send those e-mails?

The question has been answered many times. about 500 emails may have been sent over 18 months to about 30 or 40 individuals at The Gazette.

Here is one example, others include golf tee start times and jokes. not ethe date and name of Peter Stockland the Editor-in-Chief of The Gazette whom I golfed with about three weeks prior to this email. You get the idea why this was thrown out of court.:

This piece below was submitted one week after the WTC attack. As you can see Peter Stockland, Gazette Editor-in Chief said it raised excellent points. Peter Hadekel, Editorial Page Editor, instructed Wayne Lowrie, Op-Ed Editor, to "kill it", saying, "the story had moved passed this point". Mr. Hadekel told me that firsthand on the phone at the time. Three months later USA Today printed a similar piece with regard to the evacuation with many of the same facts, though they had three complete pages where I was only supposed to have 750 words according to my arrangement with Mr. Stockland.

Mr. Hadekel was removed as Editorial Page Editor upon the arrival of The Gazette's new President and Publisher Larry Smith in February 2002.

Ed: I've sent this over to Wayne Lowrie, our comment page editor. I've

mentioned to him I think it raises some excellent points. If you don't hear

back from him in a day or so, let me know.

Cheers,

Subject: World Trade Center Question, my submission

Peter,

Most of this is new or at least not mentioned much anywhere from what I

have seen or heard, perhaps it had been too early but now it is becoming

time.

World Trade Center Questions

by Ed not allowed

A week has passed since the attack on the World Trade Centers, certainly

not enough time to put any of the grief behind, only about 200 bodies of

the 5097 now reported missing are even accounted for. But after a week it

is perhaps time to start asking a few of the hard questions which must

inevitably be asked.

There were failures that occurred that cost lives. There were bad

judgments calls made, the people that made those calls may not even be

alive or if they are the burden they must live with is unimaginable, but

yet a review of the decisions must take place to ensure that better calls

are made in the future.

By now everyone knows the first American Airlines Flight 11 hit the North

Tower at 8:45AM. Fifteen minutes later at 9:00AM United Airlines Flight

175 hit the South Tower. Exactly one hour later at 10:00AM the South

Tower collapsed. The North Tower collapsed 29 minutes later at 10:29AM.

Numerous first hand accounts have confirmed and even answering machine

tapes have recorded the public address system in the South Tower assuring

occupants that they were not in danger after the first plane hit the North

Tower. Who made that decision and why? Had the South Tower been

immediately evacuated after the North Tower was hit many more lives could

have been saved. Very little could be done for those above the crash in

the North Tower but others could have been saved.

Some companies such as the Fuji Bank located on the 79th floor of the

South Tower ignored the PA announcement and did tell their employees to

leave. The second plane went right through their offices but they had

already left. They survived.

According to survivors it took the average mobile person approximately 45

minutes to make it out of the building from the 65th floor. The first

twenty-five floors down from 65 to 40 took only about 15 minutes. The

second plane went into the South Tower around the 79th floor stranding

those above in the 31 floors of the 110-floor building. Had the

evacuation of the South Tower begun immediately after the North Tower was

hit all but 11 floors of the South Tower could have been evacuated below

were the second plane went in. All those people could have safely exited

the South Tower.

After the bombing of the World Trade Centers in 1993 how could anybody in

charge of security for those building not decide to evacuate immediately?

Why not err on the side of safety and ask everyone to leave

First hand accounts from survivors who were descending from the 79th

floor tell of encountering FBI agents going up in the stairwells around

the 50th the floor. Those FBI agents told the people exiting the building

was not necessary. The survivors in question ignored the advice and

lived. Presumably those FBI agents did not make it out alive. How did

the FBI make that call? Again, why risk leaving people in the building?

The FBI also has another problem to explain. It appears the CIA did

what it was supposed to with some of the intelligence. The CIA had the

names of two of the highjackers who were living in San Diego, two

terrorists who ended up on American Airlines Flight 77 from Dulles

International, which crashed into the Pentagon. Since by law the CIA

cannot surveil in the US, it passed the information along to the

Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and the FBI. The INS

informed the FBI the two suspects had entered the US. The FBI had them on

a "watch list" but the suspects were still able to purchase airline

tickets in their own name. The FBI was not able to locate these two

suspects in the two weeks before the attack.

Another very questionable decision involves the location of New York City

Mayor's Office of Emergency Management at 7 World Trade Center on the 23rd

Floor. Its web site is still up but the building is not. Since 1993 the

Trade Towers were known to be terrorists targets. Why would you place

your Emergency Management Office at the place most likely to be a target

and in an unsecured location?

An emergency management office should be like the National Oceanic and

Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Hurricane Centre in Florida in a flood

and hurricane proof building or the situation room at the White House

which is nuclear bomb-resistant. Such a center should have its own backup

power, phone systems, water, perhaps even its own reserve air supply or

filtration system . New York has miles and miles of unused underground

tunnels originally intended for subway lines or tunnels out of Manhattan

which were never built. Why not build a bunker in one of those or place

the Office of Emergency Management in a non-descript, secured building

away from primary terrorist targets or the congested, difficult to access

streets of lower Manhattan? Had the emergency management office been in

such a location it might be there now to provide assistance in this crisis

instead of laying in ruins.

Certainly as we go forward there will be many question to address these

are but a few obvious ones.

No comments, huh......

I'd still like Tarik to explain how he can reconcile asking for special treatment for his girlfriend with his idea of social justice?

Anytime, Tarik...

While on the subject, how many low income residents have been assisted in getting on the Internet with your muni wifi system?

Did you buy them new wireless cards and upgrade their computers so they could use them?

Did you buy them new laptops with your $8000 raise?

Maybe you buddy Schweitzer can pay for them?
