Ryan's commissions on city finances will be held Thursday in city council chambers. A commission on sustainable development and "smart growth" will be made up by city Director of Economic Development Merry Harris; Deputy Commissioner of Public Works Tom Costello; Senior Engineer Brenda Longstreet; Senior Planner Caroline Quidort; Director of Building, Code and Construction David Chadwick; LoDolce, and city council members Robert Weslar, Webb and Massey. A housing and home ownership commission is comprised of Mayor Ryan; Director of Planning, Housing and Community Development Jim Dessauer; Housing Programs Supervisor Steve Quinn; First Assistant Corporation Counsel Brian Seacrist; Vacant Property Officer Keith Herron; Zoning Inspector Ted Tedino, Kramer, Weslar and Collins. http://www.pressconnects.com/apps/pbcs.dll...EWS01/804020360 So the very same people who have been dealing poorly with these issues are now on commissions and we are supposed to expect something to change! How will this be any different than what they do all day long? Where is the citizenry in these commissions? What a charade. More Ryan hot air, smoke and mirrors, only now he has more scapegoats. Guest Guest
Executive Assistant to the Mayor Tarik Abdelazim??? What does this bozo know about finances? For how many years of his adult life has he paid his own way, been financially self sufficient? How many businesses has he either owned, managed or assistant managed? What makes him qualified to do anything more than suggest where to get the best deal on Cheetos?
Guest Guest
Too bad Ryan had not been honest with voters and told them Tarik was going to be Deputy Mayor. Ryan would never have been elected and we wouldn't be in this mess.
Guest Guest
Ryan should have a commission to accept the money Ronak wants to give the city for The Regency Hhotel, since the City is still holding it for Nexus which does not have the money. Guest Guest
Patrolmen's Benevolent Association representative Craig Follett is said NOT be be attending this worthless meeting. Good for him. Do not collaborate with Ryan and his Citizen Action scum.
Neighborhood Disassembly
On the city website it just had "community leaders" with no names for "citizen" patricipants. The Press doesn't provide any names either. Are there any "regular citizens" on these committees? If so, who are these people? (Maybe we should at least send them sympathy cards for having to deal with the rest of the committee members). Do they own property in the City and live in the City?
