Unless something happens to change it, my opinion based on the sound, look, and "feel" of things, plenty of ammo for the aftermath is most important.

There is a lot of pent up anger and frustration in this country.

And my comment is not meant to be facetious.

The following is from McCains own literature.

A greater military commitment now is necessary if we are to achieve long-term success in Iraq. John McCain agrees with retired Army General Jack Keane that there are simply not enough American forces in Iraq. More troops are necessary to clear and hold insurgent strongholds;

Notice that McCain wants even more troops, in fact, he wants enough troops to occupy and hold large amounts of territory.

If you love the last eight years Bush you love McCain.

I just broke a nail. That damn Bush done it.

Read the following and understand that you will be working to support the military and not much else. John McCain wants a military big enough to take on every inch of the world.

"The global war on terrorism, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, threats from rogue states like Iran and North Korea, and the rise of potential strategic competitors like China and Russia mean that America requires a larger and more capable military to protect our country's vital interests and deter challenges to our security. America confronts a range of serious security challenges: Protecting our homeland in an age of global terrorism and Islamist extremism; working with friends and partners overseas, from Africa to Southeast Asia, to help them combat terrorism and violent insurgencies in their own countries; defending against missile and nuclear attack; maintaining the credibility of our defense commitments to our allies; and waging difficult counterinsurgency campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq."

All hail, Mars God of War!

Idiot may be a little harsh.

If you want the deficit to hit 10 trillion dollars because we are giving even more tax cuts to the rich you will love McCain.

The Bush tax cuts were a guarantee of prosperity. How do you like the job losses now?

This is what McCain says

"Cut The Corporate Tax Rate From 35 To 25 Percent. A lower corporate tax rate is essential to U.S. competitiveness. America was once a low-tax business environment, but as our trade partners lowered their rates, America failed to keep pace, leaving us with the second-highest rate among the world’s advanced economies.

Reward Saving, Investment and Risk-Taking: Low taxes on dividends and capital gains promote saving, channel investment dollars to innovative, high-value uses and not wasteful financial planning. John McCain will keep the current rates on dividends and capital gains and fight anti-growth efforts by Democrats.

Allow First-Year Deduction, Or “Expensing”, Of Equipment And Technology Investments. Expensing of equipment and technology will provide an immediate boost to capital expenditures and reward investments in cutting-edge technologies.

Sorry to burst your bubble......but these so-called tax cuts for the rich (and millions of middle -class tax payers) resulted in the highest revenues ever flowing into the US treasury. McCain (and Bush) are right.

The economy: It goes through stages and this downturn is no different. If you work hard and spend your money wisely, you will get through it.

Iraq: Whether you like it or not, we are there. The Dems. want to pull out while Bush is in office so it will be his defeat. If one of them gets in office, they will not be so quick to declare defeat. Just like the economy, it will have to run its course.

The most important thing to me is what kind of person you are voting for. I can't look at myself in the mirror and support Hillary or Obama.

How does a man who has been a US Sen for two years know what to do about the current economy? 1. The US is not in recession 2. If we are not in a recession soon, the liberal news outlets will force one on us.

Hillary is absolutely incapable of telling the truth. Obama is just another race baiter.

Obama is for the future, because the future is ahead of us, and is not the past, which is behind us. The future is tomorrow, tomorrow the sun will rise, today we live for tomorrow, and the past is just so yesterday.

She lies so much, I’m beginning to think she can no longer differentiate between truth and lies. Note also that almost all Dem policy points or campaign strategies feed on voter ignorance. She’s said the same about Mich and Florida but had agreed at the start to abide by party rules regarding their early primaries. Just like their class warfare and the rest of it, they appeal to knee-jerk ignorance by lying outright about issues. She’s done it so much, I don’t think she knows what’s real anymore (see Bosnia for example). A truly pathetic and wretched character she.

None of the 3 chosen candidates share my values. I cannot vote for any of them in good conscience. All 3 of them represent the status quo.

The so called Bush prosperity was built on the housing bubble, credit creation.

McCain has the following to say about Social Security

Reform Social Security: John McCain will fight to save the future of Social Security and believes that we may meet our obligations to the retirees of today and the future without raising taxes. John McCain supports supplementing the current Social Security system with personal accounts -- but not as a substitute for addressing benefit promises that cannot be kept. John McCain will reach across the aisle, but if the Democrats do not act, he will. No problem is in more need of honesty than the looming financial challenges of entitlement programs. Americans have the right to know the truth and John McCain will not leave office without fixing the problems that threatens our future prosperity and power.

In other words, a rehash of bush plans to tie your retirement to the stock market and nothing more.

Notice that McCain calls for reform but offers nothing by actually giving less money to Social Security. More of the Voo Doo economics that the Republicans do.

An interesting bit of information: "Colombia's president sharply criticized U.S. presidential contender Barack Obama on Wednesday for opposing a trade deal with his country, calling the Democrat out of touch with the realities of the South American nation." I thought he was going to restore our reputation abroad???????
