Guest Guest
it is entirely possible for a parent to coach his son. the coach just needs to know how to be a coach and the player just needs to be the player. agreed, people like that are hard to find, but it is possible and i've seen it work personally. it's about character. teachers struggle in that area. alot of people struggle with character, some think they don't but set the perfect example of how not to be

What should happen is win yes but not at all costs, high school or not. At the end of the day maybe one person from that team gets a full ride and that is a big maybe. What the students should remember is the impact you had as a coach as they move ahead in their life. Usually this isnt the case in high school sports.

If one or two go on to play in college it also had nothing to do with high school sports
Guest Guest
It amazes me you all subscribe to the obvious sarcasm in the OP. Since less than 1% of all HS sports results in any type of further athletics (college/pro) it seems your perceptions of what HS sports are about are horribly skewed. Winning is the goal but not what matters at all, and if you think different you are living through your kids.
