The '85/'86 Binghamton team would have destroyed this years team

Just sayin'

So for the kids on this team who were born almost 10 years after the 85/86 season this means what??

Congrats to Binghamton, they had a great season so far and good luck the rest of the way.

agreed about the 85/86 team. Their bench alone would have beaten this current bunch. Somebody axed wat it means? Simple. Players today suck

The Boys will go down to the hands of Mount Vernon and the Girls will lose to Ossining. Reality will then set it. Great Season for BHS, but as they say "All Good Things Must Come To An End" (and for the BHS Girls, last year was last year and this year, the Ossining Girls are much much better and have played a much tougher scheduled than the Lady Patriots, so it will be a close game, but Ossining will prevail - As for Mount Vernon, this year's team has developed, over this season, the deepest bench that any MVHS team has ever had. And don't talk about Mount Vernon's showing up at the DWI Tournament, as Mount Vernon was not as disciplined a team that it is now. This game will be at least a 12 point win for Mount Vernon)

I think they asking what "Somebody axed wat it means?" means. Your ability to write sucks

Wow, have people really lost that ability to just be happy for the kids to have gotten so far, and for doing so well. Of course there is the possibility of them losing, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they are the Section 4 Class AA Champions. In addition, not just one team but both Varsity teams are. What other schools can brag about that, none. Congratulations and Best of luck to Binghamton in the next round of games.

The '85/'86 BHS teams (both girls and boys) won STAC. Of course the boys went on to win the NYS title and were never even challenged. Winning all the games in Glenn Falls both double digits. Just sayin'

In order to even play Mount Vernon, they're probably going to have to play Kingston first. They're #24 in the state right now, but they were #1 before Mount Vernon took over the spot. Can't even see them getting out of this game. The record for Section 4 AA schools in the first round game when either Section 9 or Section 1 hosts is abysmal.

It wouldn't have been for the '85/'86 team. Just sayin'

i agree its not fair to compare this years team to the great championship team of 86. let these guys enjoy their time and i wish them luck the rest of the way

i must say that this years team could have beaten the so called great ue team from 1980 and would have done it quite easily

Looks like Binghamton caught a small break. Middletown upset Kingston. It's their first trip to states as a AA school.

Yep and the Binghamton Girls also caught a break as well, with Valley Central winning in Section 9. So Bing Boys have Middletown and the Bing Girls have Valley Central. Then the boys winners get Mount Vernon on Friday Night and the Girls Winners get Ossining Friday Afternoon, both games at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. No easy task for either Patriot Squad in order to get to the State Semi Finals.

Boys play Tuesday and Girls on Wednesday. If they both win, boys play on Saturday and girls on Friday. Girls definitely have the harder task by having to go down to Newburgh on Wednesday and then, if they win, turn around and go back down to Westchester on Friday.
