The Erie County Exec. is in trouble for directing funding to an organization run by a woman he dated.  So how does Jason Garnar get away with doubling the salary of a woman working for him who he slept with? Garnar's own former Deputy-Executive even admits the affair happened.  He didn't agree with what was going on in that office, so he got the hell out of there.  Apparently they hold their elected officials accountable for their actions in Erie County, but in Broome County Garnar can destroy two marriages and use the tax payer's dollars for sex.

Garnar's newer deputy county executive Michael Ponticello is telling people he will be running for County Executive, whether it's next year or in 2028. Even if Garnar doesn't run, the Democratic Party will not allow Ponticello to be their candidate.  This is like when Kanye West said he would run for President.  Ponticello is Kanye, only without the fame or money...just the delusion.

Yes, Mike Ponticello wants to run for county exec. but it will never happen.  Former Deputy Exec. Kevin McManus would be the much stronger candidate.  He voiced concerns about the Garnar affair and ultimately left the Garnar administration because of it.  McManus did an excellent job and was widely respected, Ponticello is in over his head and it shows every day. Just recently Garnar was looking to replace Ponticello.  That's probably why Ponticello is speaking up now saying he wants to run for the office.

It will be a major issue in the county executive race next year.  Not just what Garnar did, but the taxpayer money used for the coverup by the likes of Colleen Wagner and others.

Even assuming there is a candidate capable of credibly presenting the issue -which seems not so certain just yet - if that is that candidate’s major issue, Jason wins, handily.
