Guest Guest
...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING... A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL REACH CENTRAL NEW YORK JUST PRIOR TO DAYBREAK TUESDAY... THEN CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY. AS TEMPERATURES WARM TO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 30S TUESDAY AFTERNOON...THE SNOW WILL LIKELY MIX WITH RAIN OVER SOUTH CENTRAL NEW YORK. THIS MAY HELP LIMIT THE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...AND UNTREATED ROAD SURFACES...THUS LESSENING THE IMPACT FROM THE STORM DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS TUESDAY. COME EVENING...THE STORM WILL BE INTENSIFYING TO OUR EAST...AND WILL DRAW COLDER AIR ACROSS CENTRAL NEW YORK. HEAVY SNOW WILL BECOME MORE LIKELY AGAIN ON TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO SNOW SHOWERS BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT. A WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED BECAUSE HEAVY SNOW IS A POSSIBILITY IN THE AREA...BUT NOT A CERTAINTY. THERE IS STILL UNCERTAINTY WITH THE EXPECTED TRACK OF THE STORM AND HOW MUCH COLD AIR WILL BE IN PLACE FOR A SIGNIFICANT HEAVY SNOWFALL. AT THIS TIME...THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 7 INCHES OR MORE ACROSS CENTRAL NEW YORK.

Guy Guestinger
Why don't we make a post when it isn't going to snow instead?
Guest Baloney!
This isn't a "weather board". You're better-off going straight to a source like <www.accuweather.com>, typing in your zipcode and seeing what they say. For example, their current "call" is for 5" snow and 0.3" rain total for this storm: up to 1" snow early Tuesday by sunrise 1.1" snow and 0.3" rain during daylight Tuesday 2.5" snow overnight Tuesday through sunrise Wednesday, and 0.4" snow Wednesday durign daylight So, this plaintly isn't going to be the "storm of the Century" and we have better "fish to fry" here. (And, as the old adage goes, "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it!"
