The contestants have been campaigning for more than two weeks. The contest culminates 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium as a panel of judges and an audience watch the candidates participate in talent, swimsuit and "formal" competitions. In the running are: Zach Burrows, Kane Kemberling, Brandon Baker, Jarod Salton, Zach Weidman, Devin Arnold, Terry Conklin, Alex McAvoy, Alex Jones, Vincent Chong and Chad Starzer. Along with making history and earning some bragging rights, Mr. SV wins $100. The three judges are Assistant Principal Charles Hutchinson and teachers Lisa Chavez and Marion Foley, will rate the contestants on a scale from one to 10. The top five finalists will be asked a final question; their answers will determine first, second and third place winners. "Mr. SV" organizers have created a calendar featuring all of the contestants. They will also be on sale for $15, along with refreshments.
