Wow! You really are an idiot. So alcohol (in your mind) is the cause for so much crime? What about other things such as drugs? Take a look at your gay avatar. I'm sure that guy just loves his roids. Ever heard of "roid rage"? If people want to drink, thats fine, as long as they are responsible, not all of us cause crimes.

Don't assume that all beer drinkers are sitting around drinking a case of Genny at night. The libs will never stop looking for ways to tax us more. Next time it could be something that you like. Tax red meat because it causes heart problems? Once you start going down this road, it's tough to stop it. @

If you smoke, drink,or eat food that is considered bad for you sooner or later they will fine a way to balance the budget with it. 2pelo Honey
Yeah...I love the way they balanced the budget w/ the increased cigarette tax, and then say they want people to quit. What'll they do when that happens? @

What will that cost me extra.....12 cents?? Second off, I smoke and if I want one, I'll have it, who the f do you think you are telling me what I can and can not do. Third off, I pay for my health insurance, not you. It's taken out of my paycheck every week. I have not been to a doctor in about 12 years because I do not see a need, as I do not use services for little things like the f'rs on welfare do. Fourth and finally, you g.d.f. rightous people think you can tell others what to do with their lives and you are so wrong. [/quote I agree I dont smoke and rarely drink but if If they justify the tax increase on cigarettes because of the cost to society, then there is no way they should not tax alcohol. In the long run alcohol costs the taxpayers a lot more monet than cigarettes Cigarettes affect your health and the health of others who take in second hand smoke. Alcohol also has health risks but the costs associated with crimes that involve alcohol out weigh the costs of health care by far.Alcohol has destroyed far more lives than cigarettes by far. @
Guest Reddi Killowatt
It is going to come to the day where everything is going to be taxed so high, and wages are not going to go up, so therefore nobody's going to be able to afford to buy anything...so then what? I think what they need to do is quit raising the taxes on everything, and learn how to control the money they already got.

Smoking and drinking may not be your main problem. I'd say you're repressing all that pent-up rage and hostility with the booze and cigs. Reread my post. Where did I "tell you what you can and cannot do"?? Reading Comprehension Class is something you might want to look into, along with rehab and anger management therapy. ALREDEGONE
What will they do if everyone stops smoking, where will they get the money from then ??? I'm not a smoker so it doesn't affect me, but I think NYS relies on the tax money they get from cigarettes. The government says it is raising the tax on them to deter smokers, but I believe that due to their poor budgeting they simply need more tax money and this is one of the few taxes that people will not complain too much about......They really do not want people to quit smoking because if they did than they would have to raise taxes someplace else, UNBELIEVABLE !! @
