Guest knott ed
Actually Tom, it is not that people disagree with the issues Ed brings up. Many of us "liberals" as you call me, feel the same way about these issues as you do, we simply point out that the reason ed brings up these issues is because he is obsessed and has an agenda and we question why he would care enough about them to make over 40,000 posts (and climbing to that very reachable 100,000 posts) about the mayor of a city he does not live in - work in - own property in or pay taxes in. do you actually think that "liberals" enjoy paying higher water rates or higher taxes? We don't. We don't defend ryan either. In fact, I am not a fan at all. I did not support him, did not owrk for him, and criticize him often on here. But I do not feel a need to simply make things up about him in order to further some obsessed agenda like ed does. I give him credit when credit is do and criticize when that is in order - which by the way is often in my opinion. I agree. I am very wary of Ed. He clearly has a troubled background and his relationships with corporate cheats is well known. People should be careful who they align with. Many of his points are valid and he has done some good leg work but there are simply too many skeletons in his closet...in fact, the skeletons are all over the room. There are better people to lead the way.

You say you do not feel the need to simply make things up, but you use a fictional number of 40,000 posts which is an outright fantasy and is completely untrue. It would take years and years to make that number of posts. And why should you care whether Ed lives in the city or not? The FACT that so many people on the taxpayer payroll in this administration live outside the city is of much greater concern to me than where Ed lives. Why is this and why aren't you expressing your disapproval of this, or are you obsessed with Ed? The truth is Ed has done the due dilligence to get our movement off the ground. If you call exposing the misdeeds of this or any administration through DD and posting the results on BCVoice an obsession, then Ed isn't the only one obsessed, many of us are. Furthermore, the "obsessed" word came down from city hall in order to discredit Ed, because he is presenting questions they cannot answer truthfully without incriminating themselves IMO. If you choose to go along with city hall and their games, then you become part of the problem.

I do not care whether ed lives in the city or not. why would I care? I simply point out that he is obsessed with the mayor and with the city of binghamton when he does not lvie here - work here - own property here or pay taxes here. Why do you think that is Tom? The word "obsessed" did not come "down from city hall" as you state. It is a word that clearly fits ed's actions in regards to the mayor and the city of binghamton. I do not go along with mayor ryan on just about any issue. I am not a supporter of his, I did not support him and did not vote for him. In fact, I supported and voted for ed's candidate. While I think she would have done a better job than Ryan, I can only imagine if it were him in the mayors office - and the rants that would be on bc voice - posting against anyone he felt has slighted him in some way. the man is not well - and I do not believe for one second that he has any sincere interest in the city of binghamton, it's well being or the residents of this city. His only point is his obsession - plain and simple, I am convinced of that and so are most people on here.

Sorry to break it to you Tom, the truth is what Ed is doing is not for you, your "movement", or anything else worthwhile, it's for the Kradjians, for whom Ed is a pawn. It's all about the Kradjians, and their quest for revenge over getting stomped in the 2005 election. Anyone that thinks otherwise is either being fooled, or fooling themselves. Well whose interests does he have in mind? How is what he is suggesting, like reasonable water rate increases not 81% in thre years, getting rid of The Regency Hotel immediately to the buyer with cash, not wasting money on muni wifi, not hiring incompetent cronies or washed up bureaucrats under investigfation in Syracuse, not building a needless roudnabout, giving the police a contract, how are any of those things not in the best interest of Binghamton? Do you really want to be doing that? I worked for the Kradjians at the Holiday Inn Arena many years ago. I was hired as Assistant System Supervisor on night audit over 2 other experienced auditors. I had absolutely no experience with the computer system (EECO) they were using, but I did quite well and maintained an excellent relationship with the Kradjians. They treated me with the utmost respect, Paul VanSavage, the Innkeeper at the time, would attest to this. I also was on the HIA raft drinking champaigne with Steve Kradjian at the last Yagatta Regatta. I respect the Kradjians in that they came to this country, worked their asses off and achieved the American dream. I am certainly not jealous of them as I could've worked my butt of and became wealthy too, but I didn't. I don't know why you have contempt for them, I only have respect for them. How about that run for mayor in 2005? Was that a respectable endeavor? And what about the delinquencies in taxes, water bills, and the shameful manner in which they maintain high profile properties like the former Walter's Shoe Store on the corner of Main and Front in the center of Binghamton? Respectable, or contemptible? Kradjians believe a good offense is better than playing defense. So they have trotted out their "compliance and special projects manager" Ed, to go on the attack for them. It distracts attention from them, and assists them in their quest for revenge against those they believe cost them the '05 race. But the reality is, they cost themselves the race. You may respect them, but fews others feel the same. 2005 proved that overwhelmingly.

You're totally wrong!!! The 2005 mayoral race is over and the wrong person was voted in. Our village, Binghamton, has become what it is and the rest of upstate because of the liberal mentality that has ravaged our state for the last 3 decades! We have government here for a city of 80,000 people. It has nothing, ziltch, nota, to do with the Kradjians and everything to do with the liberal/socialist agenda our state has been blessed with over the last few decades! What do you suggest they do, sink 100k into Walters and spit shine it so it can sit there unoccupied?
Guest Rollo Tomasi
Question is? Will Garo run aganist Ryan? Because if Garo does he will crush Ryan in a city wide primary. Gene Burn's should be careful who he supports Ryan's Citizen Action or true Democrats with Republicans supporting Garo Kachadourian. The fix is coming Matt Ryan. Guest Had Enough
I think they need to change the name of this site to Ed's Voice. Garo maybe you can sell it to him for a profit as he acts like he owns it and he would pay big $$ for it. Gosh if you banned him he would have a breakdown. Ward 79 up the state hospital on Robinson. Guest Guest
What do you suggest they do, sink 100k into Walters and spit shine it so it can sit there unoccupied? That is a very Kradjian-like response. It would take nowhere near $100,000. to have that property presentable, and after Walter's being there all those years, does that building really owe Kradjians anything? Come on. It's been paid for many times over. Face it, they are greedy, chiseling, elitist jerks, who had the a%#-kicking they got in '05 coming in spades.
