Near Holiday Hill area. 17c He was walking the river to go fishing with his son. People 4 wheeling there too. Hopefully this will bring closure for the family if its there son. The cops are still down there and they are getting ready to remove the body. It is near our house (Crestview Heights area). We are glad that they found the body. It was found around 4:30 p-m in the Town of Owego, near route 17C and Halliday Hill Road. Police tell us it's being considered an active crime scene. They cannot confirm who the person is at this point. But crews have been searching the river since April 12th for 21-year-old Joseph McAfee, who jumped into the river off the Route 26 bridge in the Town of Union. Again, police will not confirm the identity of the body at this point. We have a crew on the scene and will bring you the latest information as soon as possible.
