27 Time World Champions
Probably the biggest trade in Beantown since Babe Ruth. We all know how that went down The Red Sox sent Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, and Nick Punto to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Boston acquired first baseman James Loney, pitcher Allen Webster, infielder Ivan DeJesus Jr. and two players to be named. Donnie's Dodgers are now "Yankees West." The Red Sox rid themselves of more than a quarter-billion dollars worth of under-performing (Gonzalez), chronically injured (Crawford) and uncaring (Beckett) big-name players - plus a bag of balls, known as Nick Punto Best of all. Bobby Valentine is still in Boston My prediction: The Red Sox will finish 3rd in the AL East in 2015
