ginger
Governor Cuomo recently passed legislation banning hairstyle discrimination in the workplace and schools. Some companies would prefer not to have their employees look like freaks regardless of race. Case on point...I came out of a healthcare facility and ran into an RN. She's white, donning a garish caftan under her white coat sporting a bright red mohawk. I've no doubt she has mass quantities of tattoos and piercings. OH NO I'M RACIST! The fact of the matter is some professions... nursing, anyone who works around machinery or food knows their hair has to be pulled back or covered for safety and or infection control. They know this when they take the job. They know the tattoos are supposed to be covered, piercings limited to small earrings (no large hoops or dangling jewelry) and their nail tips are to be kept 1/4 inch. Oh No I'm racist...please stop.
